Tech issues delay Fable 2 Knothole DLC into Jan.

Lionhead's first Fable 2 expansion, Knothole Island, was set for release to the Marketplace next Monday, December 22nd. Sadly, that just isn't the case anymore, because "unexpected technical difficulties" have caused its release to delay into late January.
According to the official Xbox.com page for the Knothole Island DLC, we're informed (in big red text, no less) that the late January time frame will be the Fable 2 DLC's new release. Exact date, yet to be announced. This delay is further proof of the longstanding rumor that Lionhead has been developing Fable 2 under an ancient Voodoo curse.

Lame!
BTW Microsoft red text works really well for those that are color blind.

Taking things out (child executions) and delaying DLC, what a way to thank your fanbase Pete Molyneux!
Tyrone Rugen @ Dec 18th 2008 2:38AM
I know! They should rush it to release with known bugs—*that* would be a *real* thank you. Damn these lazy developers (plural, there're more than just Molyneux you know), they've probably got it easier than us, and all we have to do is sit on the sidelines and bitch.

I dunno why this guys so mad.......oh yeah he's a wii fanboy now it makes sense lol
Gashnor @ Dec 18th 2008 3:08AM
....Lame. I bought 1000 MS pts on Sunday because the way X3F wrote the article on Saturday for the achievements appearing made it sound like it was coming out on 12/15 ("In preparation for the Fable 2 Knothole Island DLC's release next Monday..."). Now I'm stuck w/ 1000 MS pts with nothing but maps for a game that needs fixing EXTREMELY bad *cough* Gears *cough*... Lame. Whatever happened to the tower defense game that was supposed to come out Dec. 8th? ....Grrr....
Gamertag: GOPAL892005 @ Dec 18th 2008 4:01AM
you know that the points wont expire right?
btw: you should have bought a points card from retail - they have some great deals - Microsoft charge their full RRP all the time.
Deck @ Dec 18th 2008 4:09AM
Damn, that's too bad.
But I commend them for not releasing it just to make some cash when its not ready. As disappointing as it may be, its nice to know they will wait till its more ready. I'm sure they dissapointed its going to miss the holiday as well.
Molyneux!

With all due respect Dustin, please leave the job of funny captions to Richard and Xav. For the love of god please!

Yea I'm disappointed about this news, but I would rather have working dlc than something that was rushed into the marketplace full of glitches.
LegendaryRedass @ Dec 18th 2008 8:34AM
At least they are trying work out bugs before it goes to market. But people complain anyway, and those same people would be complaining if they released now and it was full of bugs.
jc @ Dec 18th 2008 8:42AM
While I am looking forward to DLC... I want Lionhead to fix the existing bugs first.
Please Lionhead, don't make me create a 4th character in order to try and get all of the achievements (first 3 all have corruptions).
jxchamb @ Dec 18th 2008 8:44AM
"technical issues".
Yeah, like technically the DLC is pointless for folks like who's game is broken due to stupid Timmy and his Grandmother.
Arnon @ Dec 18th 2008 9:25AM
Huh?.. I was aware that the DLC that is being talked about here is separate from the main story.. You guys are just weird for complaining about something like this..
JonEthan @ Dec 18th 2008 9:05AM
Well, damn. I was looking forward to playing this over break. Actually, I'd have taken a buggy version if it meant I COULD play it over break.
John @ Dec 18th 2008 9:25AM
What? Why another delay? Gosh.. Not getting to play it anytime soon just makes me sad. But if this is going to make the game better, then I'd think its better to wait!

I think Lionhead studios are built on an ancient indian burial ground.
JonEthan @ Dec 18th 2008 10:18AM
...in the UK?
J @ Dec 18th 2008 1:35PM
Yes, they're THAT ancient.
ZEBRA NINER @ Dec 18th 2008 10:15AM
Aww, bummer. Oh well.
DevilDoggy @ Jan 2nd 2009 3:41PM
I hope Lionhead wont be suprised when nobody buys there DLC, because all my friends brought Fable2 and all of them sold it back. It was a good game though...sorta
