First look at Halo 3's Mythic map Orbital

After getting a looksy at and a chance to play upcoming Halo 3 Mythic Map Assembly, Bungie has been rather mum regarding the other two maps that'll be included in next Spring's mythical map pack. But that changed today with Bungie's first screenshot unveiling of the second Mythic map, Orbital. Check out an embiggened version of the Orbital screen here and drool over its potential awesomeness. Lovely, no?
Remember, the Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack includes the three maps Assembly, Orbital, and Sandbox and releases to the XBLM in March. Sometime around the release of Halo Wars.

halo wars comes out late Feb. in Europe and Asia. so the mythic map pack may come out early Feb. i wish...

Mythic Map Pack comes out after Halo Wars.
This is because the Mythic Pack is included with the Halo Wars Collector's Edition, as an incentive since you'll get the maps early.

I'm feeling the same in a way. My friends don't buy the maps so I can't fully enjoy them.
I also think these maps are taking too long to come out (considering in their podcast, they've said all 6 mythic maps are finished)

My problem is that online the game is a b*tch thanks to all the Matchmaking issues also the game calling you a pussy every time you leave either because you have to answer the phone, there is lag or you would like to play some other map.
Bungie get dedicated servers FFS.
Another problem is that I have bought all the crap related to Halo 3 since it was released because I don’t fell that I get a run for my money. I’ll buy this yeah I mean Halo 3 is the most expensive game I have ever bought so what the hell let’s keep burning money maybe one day I’ll be happy with my purchase.
To end this -1 rant I want to say that the design of every MP map for the exception of Avalanche and Ghost Town are bad.

I retired from halo 3, because I was able to get to a level 45 really quick, but it took my friend near 6 months to get from 44 to 45....
in any case orbital looks cool and assembly reminds me of midship lol so I might pick up halo again

It's been rumored that one of the other 3 maps (Heretic) is a Midship remake.

Is that so ?.... they will probably ruin it the way they ruined lockout with blackout, I didnt mind that they closed the window, but they made the ledges around the perimeter of the map higher an that jump from center to sniper 2 easier, which was unnecessary because most people could do it anyway, they change things and add things that dont need fixing,
I think closing the window was a good fix because it was a huge advantage for anyone using it with a BR or sniper .

The Mythic Maps (all 6) have been done for 2 months, but Microsoft is only letting them release 3 with Halo Wars and 3 with ODST. It's fucking ridiculous. God I hate Microsoft's new greedy attitude.

Loving every pixel of this picture! I'm huge Halo fan, but I understand where a lot of people are coming from when they complain about Halo 3, honestly, its just not as intense as Halo 2. BTW, I'm thinking of getting Halo 2 for PC, how is it?

meh, new maps are cool, but sometimes its hard to actually play then, especially if you are trying to do ranked games.

Sega Rally Revo was awesome. What's up with all the Halo 3 bashing in this thread? It's a good game that was worth the money. Don't blame Bungie for the map delay-blame the publisher. And, for the last time, assembly is NOT a remake. So it's purple. That's all they have in common. Oh, and SPARTAN-II units play on it. End of story.

I agree bro, far too much Halo bashing as always. People hate things just to hate things, especially when something is as popular as halo. Halo 3 is the most complete package out there in my opinion; try finding another FPS with as much customization and replay value, with 4 player co-op campaign, saved films, forge, 16 player vehicular combat, and gorgeous graphics all nicely packaged into one disc.
