Video: The Guitar Hero: Metallica trailer

Making an appearance over on Metallica's official web space is a fresh trailer for next year's upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica. A game that is still yet to be officially announced, mentioned or even uttered by the PR folks at Activision. No matter, because Metallica isn't afraid to promote the game as is obvious by the latest trailer. Enjoy the video goods after the break and be sure to ride the lightning in 2009.

I don't understand why they have 20 guest artists.. the game is call guitar hero metallica - not guitar hero metallica w/ friends. just like the aerosmith - there are barely any aerosmith songs - it's mostly their friends. it's bs.

It is supposedly harder than the other GH games.

Dude, your so full of shit. Death Magnetic was not as good as AJFA or Ride the Lightning, but it was still miles better than St. Anger. I actually banged my head while listening to death magnetic.
It's a solid album in my opinion, it's a great come back for the band.

I'd be interested, but the way they've ratcheted up the difficulty since Neversoft took over kind of puts me off. I'm no slouch, but I don't have the time nor the patience to get as good as you need to to really enjoy these recent efforts. Plus, the developers don't seem to want you to have fun with it all, it's far more about it being challenging, which is fair enough, but I don't want to feel like playing a song is a chore.

I agree. I like a good challenge, but I like to play to relax mostly. I will pass on this. RB 2 still has me rocking plenty with bands I like much more than Metallica.

Death Magnetic is a great album, I highly doubt they're putting anything from St. Anger on here. I won't buy this for $60 but I'll buy it when it gets cheaper.
Even though theres 20 other artists on here, I'm wagering that they'll be in line with music I like. So I'm looking forward to it.

Ok let's get this straight: anyone who thought St. Anger was better than Death Magnetic need to have their head examined. Anyone who thought Death Magnetic wasn't a good probably also didn't like the Black album and therefore needs their head examined. Not saying the two are equal but the style is certainly similar.
