Euro 360 sales at 8 million thanks to record holiday
Puffing out their chest with pride, today Microsoft revealed that - to date - they've sold 8 million Xbox 360 consoles in the European market thanks to record setting holiday sales. Sales that were nearly double that of the same holiday period last year."2008 saw us grow faster than any of our competitors and we over-achieved in sales during the crucial Christmas selling period," explained European Xbox VP Chris Lewis. Nice to see the Continentals are finally seeing what a great deal the 360 is. All we have to do now is convince Japan... (I know I know, a cold day in hell).

Its took time for us europeans to accept xbox but its understandable giving that sony has been so dominant here in the past. There are numerous people who i know that have only ever owned playstations that now have 360's

I am glad to see the X360 doing well. I really don't want to see the PS3 go down in the drain. But I am glad to see our brothers and sisters overseas connected to a good console besides the PS3 and/or Wii for that matter.

eh i wouldnt be surprised to see the PS3 back on top in the region once it gets its price-cut again. but perhaps the 360 will gain some serious lead before that happens? Im not sure
Europeans, Aussies, and New Zealanders all get the major shaft on console prices, I feel sorry for them.
