Forza 3 artwork all but confirms game's existence

Kaarbo Designs, a company sub-contract by Microsoft Game Studios to create menu assets for all previous Forza Motorsport titles, has gotten a bit ahead of themselves in terms of revealing the project they just finished. That project being Forza Motorsport 3.
Yes sir, listed under their website's clients section are a few Forza 3 posters (now removed, but preserved by Forzacentral) that sorta prove that the yet to be officially announced racing title is real and in development by Turn 10. You can even sneak a peek at the threequel's logo on the upper left of each poster.

Interestingly enough, Kaarbo mentions that the asset posters (galleried below) are not their templetes, "are only samples and are not to be used" in any Forza title. They're still pretty, though, so check 'em out below.

This artwork came out about 2 weeks ago, nothing really new here.
Andre @ Jan 5th 2009 12:42PM
Not only that, but the posters were posted Oct 13.
DemonJ @ Jan 5th 2009 12:40PM
"Only samples" your not fooling us, thats the worse excuse of course its confirmation that theres going to be a third Forza!

More importantly, it shows the GT-R will be in the game!
Tony @ Jan 5th 2009 12:47PM
Looking forward to the game. I hope we hear more about it soon.

Kudos to Kaarbo Design for forgetting one of the basic tenets of managing your online portfolio: check with everyone that there are no more active NDAs before posting work.
Epic duh.
Mokano40 @ Jan 5th 2009 3:48PM
Yes I'm looking forward to this
matty @ Jan 5th 2009 6:12PM
the "logo" in the corner is just the forza2 logo with a little line added to the bottom to make it a 3.
RSHammerhand @ Jan 5th 2009 6:12PM
...some of the best news i've had about video games in a long time.
DjDATZ @ Jan 6th 2009 2:27AM
Fuck yea. Loved Forza 2, can't wait for 3!
Oh, and I can't wait to give the Skyline GT-R R35 a rip around the track...
z @ Jan 6th 2009 10:14AM
winning formula: more cars, more tracks, more modes and weather changes.
Eric D. @ Jan 8th 2009 12:36AM
As long as Road America is in the game, I'll be happy.
G-Forza @ Jan 9th 2009 8:26PM
I was thinking, thoes posters might not appear in the game - but maybe in magazines. As comercial for "The next BIG thing".
When Forza 3 comes out, people will still compare GT5 with Forza 2. Because it would be unfair to compare GT5 with "Big" Forza 3.
Hans-Wurse Stirnruelpser @ Jan 10th 2009 8:44PM
Eric D. was/is right. Road America is a must be. It was almost unforgivable not to have it already in when Forza 2 was shipped. Not even the beautiful extended version of New York was in it. Shame. But Forza 3 will be so much more. What did I heard? Motorboats?
Neat Pete @ Jan 12th 2009 11:12PM
I really don't trust those DLC's. I bought, not too long ago, the platinum Hits of Forza 2 just because of the DLC on the second disc. I love the new cars. But the tracks are kinda useless. They are not build into any race events, nor can I drive them in exhibition races.
If Turn 10 really want to bring out so much content month for month plus tracks every quarter year, then they should also combine them in events or create new events. Or even better: Install for us an "Event-Maker". So we can create our/new events. And race against the computer. And maybe race them online.
G-Forza @ Jan 14th 2009 9:47PM
Those posters might appear in mags as adds.
Like most of us I'm burning for Forza 3 to come. I know already: The announcement day will be for me like christmas. But I believe Che Chow is bursting in anticipation too to let the cat out of the sack. He is probable begging Dan Greenawalt at this very moment to announce Forza 3 at the next Pitpass Report. Once FM3 is official, the next podcast will be filled with what we are in agony to hear. Go on Turn 10! And put all hour car-guy-heart in this very BIG project.
Oh yea - and don't forget to make the rims three coloured: lips, middle and center. And besides colours, chrome too. Aaand make it that we can colour the manufacturer names on the tire sides. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Rolf-Randolf Fenstergucker @ Jan 14th 2009 9:59PM
Yo, here's Rollie. I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved Forza one. And despite all imperfections of Forza two, that game turned out to still make so much fun and millions are still playing it. And they will till Forza three is in their hands. And boy Forza three must be something, when the own people are "frickin' psyched about their own project. Could we see some screenshots please.
Reinhardt Kaffeekocker @ Jan 14th 2009 10:08PM
Yes I would really like to finally see something too! Forza Motorsport 3 start to seem like an internet ghost. People are talking about it, but there's nothing to see. When is the announcement???
Bruno Brunsbruettell @ Jan 15th 2009 10:34PM
When can we finally see screenshots and promotion videos??? No offense- but haven't we hot blooded Forza fans, (Forza Nation), waited in agony long enough? Please please give us something.
Hans-Gunnar Peterseure @ Jan 16th 2009 7:38PM
Someone I know, (and it's not Bruno), said MicroSoft wanted to ship Forza 3 a month ago. I doubt they will ship that game before ever loosing a word of announcement about it.
Personally I have a strong feeling it will come in Spring or Summer this year. Would be a great time to turn laps in Forza 3 in the nicest time of the year.
Heinz-Amsel Abwischer @ Jan 17th 2009 8:09PM
Chou Che said in the #123 Weekly Pitpass Report something that the GT5 boys wont like to hear: "First of all, our new game is looking pretty brilliant ". And: "Of course, it's still a work in progress, but it's pretty amazing how much can change in just three very festive weeks. Hopefully, we'll be able to announce/show something in the coming months. Fingers crossed". Sooo - last summer he was already "fricken' psyched" and now the game,(that's not finished yet), "looks brilliant". Well. Gentlemen. If that's not good news, than I don't know what is. From what Mr. Che sais, he's realistically hoping that he get's the "Go" to announce this Big Big thing within the next quarter.
Bring it on Che-brother.
We're with you!
Besides - The day before the 123rd pitpass came out, Kenny Loggins
was artist of the day at the radio station 104.9 here in Vancouver.
Geee - it's Forza time again @ Jan 17th 2009 8:32PM
Sorry guy(s) if i come up with my rim wishes again. But, despite that I would already be happy when the rims in Forza Motorsport 3 would be 2 or 3 colourable, (lip n' centers) - I would also make that one could choose how thick the line on the rim lip would be. And give the ability to move the line either toward the outer or inner side of the lip. And of course I would make that one could put two or three lines on the lip with two or three layers.
And please don't forget, Turn 10, to enable us to colour the tire manufacture writings. That would look sooooo cooooool. Of course you would have to put a lot of work into the animation of all that. But if you pull that off - than wwooooowwwwwww!
Robert-Anton Suppenspucker @ Jan 18th 2009 7:33PM
I understand your interest in the diversity of rim and tire make up. I too believe that, what difference a lamp makes to a room, so the rims and wheels on a car. They are the only thing that connects the car with the street and the rest of the environment. Unless you bump into something. (Ha Ha). I really hope the "Limitless Customization" will inhold that we can put, if we want, bigger rims and tires on the rear axle than on the front.
G-Forza @ Jan 21st 2009 8:44PM
Today I played Forza 2 again,(which isn't something new). And found a new error Turn 10 really shouldn't repeat in Forza 3: I was driving/racing/skidding on the "Ring". And I found myself beside the track on the grass. On the grass was a big spot with leafs. I was in hood view and saw that the leafs had the same sun reflection as the street. Of course the leaf do not shine like the street. That is exactly what I meant when I said everything must have it's own shine. And reflection too.
Thommas-Michael Speichellecker @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:46PM
I hope Forza 3 comes very VERY soon.
It will kick ass.
Wilhelm Schmieraxt @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:57PM
What I could really use in Forza 3 would be a mirror line. That would be a line that I put in the middle on top of a car when I am designing with the livery option. The mirror line, which wide I can choose, mirrors everything what I do on the left side of the top of the car instantly on the right side. So I don't have to do everything again reversed to have a left and a matching right version of my design for the top of the car, (Hood, roof, trunk). Does that make sense?
pibs @ Jan 29th 2009 3:40PM
I wonder if Sony will use these pics and photoshop them for their GT5. I still remember the PGR3 graphics for GTHD fiasco LOL!
Bubu Muffelnadel @ Feb 1st 2009 7:23PM
In some ways Forza 2 is a little fiasco too. But one that millions still like to play.
Forza 3 will be way advanved and fine tunned. I feel Forza 2 will soon be forgotten once FM# is outta garage.
