Gears of War 2 Flashback maps hit XBLM for $5

Hey, remember the Flashback Map Pack for Gears of War 2? You know, the one that you can only get by purchasing a brand new copy of the game at your favorite retailer? Guess what? It's now available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points, also known as $5. That's five maps for a buck a piece, which isn't too shabby. Strangely, the text description of the content still says that it's only available as a free download with new copies of the game, but it's definitely listed for 400 points. If you've been worried about losing the Flashback maps by picking up a used copy of Gears 2, it looks like you can officially rest easy. Play your cards right and you could even save some money.

Thank god they are finally doing this. Now maybe they can put some Gridlock into the normal matchmaking rotations

gridlock is in all the playlists

Gridlock is NOT in all the playlists. It is only in the flashback playlist. You might play it in another playlist occasionally, but that will only happen when 1) the votes between the maps are tied, and 2) every player in the lobby has the flashback mappack, then it will choose a map at random, sometimes from the flashback pack.

Your wrong. Gridlock shows up quite a bit in the normal playlist rotation. Annex seems to almost always be a choice between Ruins, Mansion, and Gridlock.

Milking it indeed, especially when Epic was telling everyone that the DLC since they were “"special gifts [for] our loyal fans." And were not going to de released outside of a new purchase. New thing you know, we’ll see the golden Lancer and Hammerburst on Marketplace for a couple hundred MS points. Still, it seems like there is to much buzz for a broken game.

there should be a card inside the game box -

it'll have a LIVE trial code and the flashback map code, in addition to the Gold Lancer code if you bought the LE. These are ALL on the same card.

Hey look! New maps for a shitty multiplayer game! How about releasing a patch to fix all the f%#king problems first so that we could actually enjoy the new maps! Just a thought...

Err they announced the patch yesterday, and these aren't new maps, they're for people who bought Gears2 used.

That's right! But they are considered new for people who don't have the game yet... Either way... I have a good feeling this patch won't fix shit in the game. How many times did they supposedly patch the first Gears..? and the game still is broke as hell. I've turned my back on EPIC, they can't do shit right bro. There are much better multiplayer games out now that get my mind off Gears. Peace.

Actually, I was hyped for L4D, but after playing Horde mode tons before the demo came out and getting to play with morons, I opted to keep playing Horde and keep my $60. I haven't tried the other Gears multiplayer modes much, though

I got my code with the game and its never let me download the pack. It always says its not available to download in my area. Which is total BS.
My registered address is in ireland, my ip address is in ireland and the game was made in ireland (or so it says on the box)

You know what really sucks??

I traded Dead space for GOW2 (that didn't include the map pack) and then I traded another game and $5 cash money for the map pack download. I just got the code yesterday....so, i wasted a ton of money on something I thought I would never get to get for $5. hahaha
