Bioware to chat about Mass Effect 2 at GDC '09

Ninja-spotted over on the official Game Developers Conference (GDC) website is a listing for one of the production track session that sorta spills the beans on what Bioware has up their sleeves for GDC.
Hosted by Biowares's own Dusty Everman and Project Manager Corey Andruko will be the session "The Iterative Level Design Process of Bioware's MASS EFFECT 2." We don't believe that to be a typo, we think they really mean Mass Effect 2.

According to the description, the session will focus on the "Mass Effect team's new level-creation process" where attendees will "gain insight into some of the major issues the development team encountered while building Mass Effect at BioWare." Sounds pretty legit. You can bet Mass Effect 2 will be talked about, shown or completely revealed at this year's GDC.

finally, Mass Effect 2..
Hopefully, with this, we'll start hearing about new 09 games.. it's all seems a bit arid to me so far.. or maybe it's quality over quantity now like in the good ol' days of Xbox

Whatever happened to the additional episodes for ME1? Just the one? I thought they were going to do 2 or 3.

Definitely hyped about this one. I loved Mass Effect even with the repetitive side missions, technical issues and the elevator. Hopefully, those aren't in 2.

I'm soooo excited. Despite all the flaws in the first Mass Effect, it's still my favorite game on the 360. I'm still working on my Insanity playthrough. Since they had to put so much time during the first game's development into building the engine, I expect that the second game will have much better side missions and city planets.

I hope they come up with a different name. Mass Effect 2 doesn't have a good ring to it. I know it won't happen though... sigh.

Sci-fi+ space+ rpg+shooter+ real character interaction. Mass Effect is my favorite franchise. I care more about the ME universe than any other. After 25 years of gaming, that says a lot. ME has the potential to be a very long lasting IP if done with care.

Great news, I loved the first one can't wait for the second one to come out.
