Fable 2: Knothole Island DLC available January 13
Lionhead Studios has announced the, delayed for technical reasons, downloadable content for Fable 2 will be available on January 13. Fable 2's Knothole Island (800
) will add new quests, items and shops to the Game of the Year award winning world of Albion.
For those who do not plan on picking up the extra content, Lionhead has also revealed a new title update will be available on the same day, which we all hope will finally cure the game of its own STDs (or bugs if you want to be PC about it).

Seems I will be heading back to Albion next week. Just picked up Mass Effect today too, couldn't resist the new 19.99 price.

This might be the first DLC I buy(just love this game so much)

Maybe we get to fight the REAL White Balverine again!

Snow in Albion?! I didn't think the world could get any prettier!
ZEBRA NINER @ Jan 8th 2009 2:04PM
I really liked the snow in the first part of Fable 2. I wish they had seasons in the game, because the snow looked great.
w00t for DLC and new cheevos.

I'd just like to be able to buy some furniture, that's all I ask.
ZEBRA NINER @ Jan 8th 2009 2:05PM
Try the store in Bloodstone.
Matthew Schenck @ Jan 8th 2009 7:28PM
No, believe me, I can't buy any furniture anywhere. I've gotten almost everything in the game except furniture. I heard of a glitch that described how some gamers were unable to buy furniture in the game and I'm one of them.
Later.

I don't even believe Lionhead anymore...

I am excited for this. I like Fable. Seems as though there is quite a bit to do. But, I do not have the time to sit down and play for more than an hour or two at a time, so I guess it seems longer to me than it really may be. Anyways, I hope it is at least a few more hours of play. I also hope future DLC adds more quests in game and things to do. Always nice to have something fresh.
iLuvUrOpinion @ Jan 8th 2009 11:44AM
DBoyFlex, sorry to break it to you, but the game is rather short and unfulfilling. The final boss encounter is also the biggest upset in the game. You'll see. The original Fable was great, this sequel was a huge disappointment. I beat it within two weeks and I only play around 3 hrs a night. I didn't use a guide either, and i got all achievements.

@ILuvUrOpinion
3 hrs/night * 2 weeks = 42 hrs.
42 hrs =/= short

Nice, ghost.
Also, I just finished the main quest, but still have a bunch to do, like buy everything and find the gargoyles, and open the demon doors. I actually will make money the hard way: do it in game rather than import from pub games. Sure, I racked up a pretty penny, but I have not merged the characters yet. I might later, but not yet. Maybe with an evil character. Oh well. I still like it. It has more of a Zelda game feel compared to some of the more recent RPGs I have played. Kinda fun, brings back memories of Ocarina and Majoras.

this game is sitting in a pile of games i need to finish, I guess it can wait till summer.
AnthonyGalindoX @ Jan 8th 2009 11:57AM
I hope that there is another patch that improves load times and reduces the lag when navigating menus. After having it installed on my hard drive I can't imagine playing it any other way. It's just too damn slow when running on the disc.
craig64 @ Jan 8th 2009 12:21PM
I'll probably be picking this up, so long as I hear some good things about it. It looks and sounds sweet, but if it's only like 2 hours long I'll pass on it... even though I loved Fable 2.
Anticrawl @ Jan 8th 2009 12:32PM
Too bad it took them this long and there are still much needed patches. I'm going to be playing Lord of the Ring Conquest come 13th.
myabsolution @ Jan 8th 2009 12:56PM
100 new gamerscore and added fun? count me in. I liked Fable 2 a lot and this gives me more reason to jump back in.
If they keep doing episodic content ill keep biting with my McMicro Bucks....
BUT they better not promise tons of stuff then stop after the first dlc comes out... like Bioware and Mass Effect >_< That made me mad.
