New off-screen Halo Wars footage

GameTrailers has posted some new footage of Halo Wars from CES. Unfortunately, it's off-screen footage, and portions of the screen are cut off. Still, There's plenty of interesting things to see if you know where to look. For one, you can see the system that lets you cycle through each individual unit type when you've selected a large group of different units -- the player uses it at around 0:35 to select the Warthog and ram the enemy. Another prominent feature is the circle menu, which is used to queue up new units and research upgrades. And, of course, you get to see delicious carnage. Check out the video after the break.

Good background music, I didn't know Nirvana was part of the Halo Wars soundtrack.. ;-)

Yay Halo Wars.

Ensemble make good RTS, so I have faith the PC to Console leap for the genre will do just fine.

normally I would care less about an RTS, since I'm not much of a PC gamer. I'm eager to try out the demo on the 8th to see if I can finally enjoy one of these.

hmm since the studio is closeing... my guess is that we wil get no maps DLC, no patch DLC and no new campaign DLC, ;-) are X3F looking in to that one*S*

Ensemble has stated that a group of members will form a new group to provide updates and DLC.

Hi, yeah, i did remember something about that......, but belive it to be....well stupid, you not going to have "a group" doing almost nothing, for money - anyway, i belive games should be "complete" when they go gold, but a map pack for a good game is allways a good thing!

All units...won't that be annoying? Anyway...i am waiting for the demo. I haven't played an RTS in my life (other than just trying it a couple of times) and so i am looking to see if Halo Wars could be my first. RTS gets some great games and i want to explore this genre.
