Rumor: GH: Metallica to rock retail March 29th [update]

Update: According to Eurogamer, Activision has informed them that GH: Metallica will be releasing in May. Well, in Europe at least.
If online retail listings or internal retail documentation can be trusted, those awaiting Guitar Hero: Metallica's release should circle (with a pencil) March 29th as an important date.

Gamestop.com and an internal Gamestop POS sheet obtained by the Destructoid crew have Metallica's own Guitar Hero edition releasing to all platforms on the last Sunday in March. Traditionally, retailer supplied video game release dates are only 12.4% correct, but we're optimistic on this one. Metallica releasing in March? It sorta makes sense.

Wow. That's some hideous, plastercine-faced character models.

how many guitar hero iterations are we going to get? world tour just released in october. barely 6 months later we are getting another iteration. this is ridiculous. why not just make it DLC for world tour? activision, please stop forcing these guitar hero clones down our throats. just give us the music! follow harmonix, they are doing it right by not releasing rock band 3 in 2009.
MewLover34 @ Jan 14th 2009 5:18PM
Hey dumb dumb Harmonix is still releasing the Beatles game this year...
Dale @ Jan 15th 2009 10:16AM
This is just getting pathetic. Just release DLC for the game and stop it with the Band Exclusives. The creativity has left the building, all they are worried about is making more money off the same crap. Slap some new graphics on it, and resell the same game.. JUNK!

I'll only buy this if they let me export the songs to the hard drive so I can play them in GH:WT without swapping discs all the time.

The game will be released on March 29th. It's on Metallica's website.
