BlowOut now an Xbox Original, yay?

Sure to cause a reverberation of yawns on a grand scale that has never been seen before, we're pleased it's our obligation to announce that BlowOut has officially become an Xbox Original and can be purchased from the Xbox Live Marketplace. For 1200 Microsoft points and approximately 385MBs, no less.
So ... anyone up for a game of BlowOut? Anyone? No really ... anyone?

Nope i want our backward compatibility for The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay.
ScottishPrik @ Jan 19th 2009 11:57AM
Why? It's being re-released on 360.
SToNeP2277 @ Jan 19th 2009 12:08PM
The one you talking about is The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
The Alex @ Jan 19th 2009 12:30PM
While it's called Assault on Dark Athena, it's still a remake of Escape from Butcher Bay with updated graphics and gameplay as well as a new single player "campaign" (which I assume is the Assault on Dark Athena part).
Deck @ Jan 19th 2009 1:59PM
Alex is right. Its called, Dark Athena but it includes "Escape from Butcher Bay" as well as the new "Dark Athena" campaign. So essentially, your getting it all with updated graphics. So two games for the price of one. When its released.
SToNeP2277 @ Jan 19th 2009 2:49PM
You meant i was right the first time i just didn't know they put two games on it that's cool.
cloud858rk @ Jan 19th 2009 2:50PM
The devs already said it was impossible to do with backwards compatibility on the 360, that's why they're porting it.
PastaGabe @ Jan 19th 2009 11:20AM
Yeah! what the hell is up with this crap!
It started up good with a good selection of xbox originals....but now they are just releasing crap!
There are far more better games that deserve to be made xbox originals....mhmmm...lets say the super awesome Star Wars Battlefront I & II, etc. anyone agree?
Gemini Ace @ Jan 19th 2009 11:25AM
Wasn't this posted last week?
offday @ Jan 19th 2009 11:29AM
Yeah. But this is the post saying it is now officially up.
Gemini Ace @ Jan 19th 2009 12:00PM
Glad they let us know. This is important.
psychohog @ Jan 19th 2009 11:28AM
Anyone gonna take the plunge on this one?
Sadistic @ Jan 20th 2009 11:39AM
I remember this game being ten dollars when it was released.....now it's fifteen? WTF
Jonman @ Jan 19th 2009 11:32AM
Blow who now?
offday @ Jan 19th 2009 11:34AM
Why is MS doing this to themselves? Are these the games that they want to represent the original Xbox?
The Xbox was one of my favorite systems of all time, but if I had never played it and I saw some of these Xbox originals that they've been coming out with recently, I'd think the system was a piece of crap.
Blessed Ossoona @ Jan 19th 2009 11:42AM
The Xbox is one of your favorite systems but you've never played it... huh?
SToNeP2277 @ Jan 19th 2009 11:51AM
I agree with you bro like i said before MS has no love for us fans.you know what would be funny if MS did release The Chronicles of Riddick on XBox Original marketplace instead of the backward compatibility first if they do that i would really hate them for life.
ryan @ Jan 19th 2009 12:54PM
Reading comprehension ftw, Ossoona!
And yeah, really tho. MS should be putting all the successful originals on the marketplace. I miss playing Panzer Dragoon Orta, Otogi 1 & 2.
offday @ Jan 19th 2009 1:38PM
Yeah, Blessed Ossoona, you might want to take a reading class or something.
Nathan @ Jan 19th 2009 11:45AM
he is saying IF he had never played it
Phawx @ Jan 19th 2009 11:45AM
Xbox Division is getting a bit cocky lately. They need to either port Xbox originals, so they can be used on Live and have achievements, or if they are just going to use emulation, they better lower the price BIG TIME.
Seriously, WTF Xbox Division?
Teabag @ Jan 19th 2009 11:53AM
I am going to buy this one now. Like as in NOW.
Oh whom am i kiddin...
Mandos @ Jan 19th 2009 1:20PM
I just wish the guys down at microsoft would take a look at the list of top selling xbox games and put them on there....
Like Morrowind....
brennan.peter123 @ Jan 19th 2009 12:18PM
still waiting for halo 2......
Commando62 @ Jan 19th 2009 12:55PM
Ditto. That and Freedom Fighters
Alexander @ Jan 19th 2009 12:15PM
I want Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath!
dylan @ Jan 19th 2009 2:21PM
I second that!
Nathan Graves @ Jan 19th 2009 5:14PM
Holy shit. The way the guy walks was a turn-off for me.
What did they wanted this game to be like? Contra?
MystileArmor @ Jan 19th 2009 8:11PM
So if he walked different you'd be turned on?
People on the internet and their weird sexual preferences...

I'd have such a raging hard on that a world that is millions of light years away would feel the shock wave of my throbbing member.
The Alex @ Jan 19th 2009 12:34PM
It's ashame these games don't offer demo's. Blowout wasn't that bad of a game for anyone who likes side-scroller, shoot em ups.
Having said that, 1200 points is way too much. I paid $10 for it on Gamecube about a year after it came out. And it was released (if memory serves me) at a budget price of $19.99.
lololololol @ Jan 19th 2009 5:40PM
actually, it released in 2003 at $9.99. So it makes perfect snese for MS to not only throw this horrible game on XBL, but for $15
Aaron @ Jan 19th 2009 12:35PM
I'm still waiting for Gauntlet Dark Legacy. I know it wasn't a very popular title to many it was & still is a classic. We need more multiplayer games like this...
Deck @ Jan 19th 2009 2:00PM
It makes NO sense why they choose titles like these. *sigh*
Adam @ Jan 19th 2009 2:51PM
I remember when this game came out it seemed to have a ton of potential. Looked like lots of fun. Played like shit though! I wouldn't mind seeing another game come out based on the same concept but it just needs to not suck.
Adam @ Jan 19th 2009 2:58PM
Ok so I guess I was mistaken. I was thinking of Flat Out (the shitty racing game). I don't know wtf this is...
Matt @ Jan 19th 2009 9:01PM
Wow. There was so many good XBOX games. Why are they choosing these crap ones that no one has ever heard of? And seriously, they should be working harder on getting Goldeneye on the 360
Kinsey @ Jan 19th 2009 11:14PM
Maybe its a test to see if a crappy game (not sure if it is or not) that no ones ever heard of (I have no facts on this matter) will still sell or not in some kind of economical experiment (I have no experience in the global economy and no current knowledge of scientific experimentation).
