'Max Payne' & sequel get Xbox 360 listings from ESRB

Max Payne was a classic when it hit the PC and, although a lot was left to be desired when it was thrown onto consoles, the Max Payne series shined on the original Xbox among third-person shooters. Searching the original titles on the ESRB website revealed both titles had been rated for the Xbox 360 platform, a process that ordinarily occurs when a game is set to be released as an Xbox Original. File this under: "Taken with a grain of salt," but it's possible Max's previous adventures will be added to the Xbox 360's digital list ... just in time for his latest pill-popping journey this winter.

OMG, you're right! He is a homeless Vin Diesel!
Still, I'm very excited. In the words of J. McElroy, I have "half a rod" for this.
Also, I always thought it was freakin' hilarious that the health power-ups were all painkillers, meaning that by the end of the game, he's completely filled with lead and probably on the brink of an overdose. And in the second, he gets a bullet to the head (spoilers) yet survives, which is retarded.

You can survive if you get a bullet to the head. It just happens in very rare instances.

This. Also. IT'S A FUCKING VIDEO GAME!! THE SAME GAME THAT HAS A SINGLE MAN BEING ABLE TO TAKE DOWN AN ARMY OF GANGSTERS!!!
I don't think we should expect it to be realistic.

Maybe it's only rated for 360 because it's on the original XBox compatability list with 360? I've tried to find copies of it for original xbox, and it would be a godsend to get the series re-released as an originals download. CROSSING FINGERS FTW

Probably hard to find copies for xbox because they weren't worth anything in credit. I bought 1 and 2 the day I bought my original xbox 2 years ago for 3 bucks total at gamestop 99 cents for 1 and 1.99 for 2. I think I might've even used a coupon plus my edge card on it.

Go to Half.com. They have a lot of Xbox original games much cheaper than the $15 download price tag.

I should probably pick up the first two games. I remember playing the first game on the PS2 and stopped playing when I reached the part where you have to walk on those thin bloody pipes things. It pissed me off so much. I'll give it another go.

I'm tired of sequels re-imagining their main character with a brawny grungy prison inmate look. I hated it when Condemned 2 did that with Ethan Thomas and decided his sidekick didn't wear tight enough clothes.
"We're worried that gamers might see our main characters as too approachable. We have to be sure they're totally unrelatable and represent an unrealistic standard of sex appeal, or else people who play our games might find themselves more immersed in the experience."

Always thought the new Payne looked more like Bobby De Niro....

He looks pretty generic now, indeed. I kinda liked the actor thing.

I don't know why you're all whining, he looks just like Timothy Gibbs from Max Payne 2, but with a beard.
