Taking a look at March XBLA numbers
With March NPD numbers set to roll out this week, GamerBytes has posted its own analysis of Xbox Live Arcade sales for the same period. A good idea, considering NPD doesn't include digital sales in its figures. It's a rather exhaustive piece, so here are a few nuggets.
- Watchmen: The End is Nigh started strong, but fell off the top ten in its third week of availability.
- Peggle has done quite well and is showing signs of staying power.
- Hasbro Family Game Night seems to be paying off for EA, with combined board game sales landing the game in third place in its third week of availability.
- The promotional "Deal of the Week" prices for Braid and Alien Hominid pushed both games back into the top ten.
- March saw both Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and A Kingdom for Keflings get knocked off the top ten. SSFIITHDR and Keflings had been in the top ten for 15 and 19 weeks, respectively.

I don't know if I would trust sites like that. That's one way peoples Live accounts get compromised.

What sites?
GamerBytes? I'm not sure people sign up just to show what they are downloading.

I'm still wondering why people are buying those hasbro games. I like the fact that they're available, but 10 per is a bit pricey.

Scrabble was the only one that seemed to be worth $10 and after getting it I still agree with myself on that. It's the only one I have right now.
Yahtzee could stand to be at least a couple bucks less, but I may still get it anyway.
When Boggle comes out I'll get that too because to be honest I've never even played the real version.
Connect Four seems to be the most worthless of the bunch for $10, but I'm 28. If I had kids I'd probably get it. They named it Family Game Night for a reason.

I might pick up Sorry Sliders if it has local multiplayer.

Looks like Flock! is already out of the most popular, and in less than a week. That's even faster than Exit 2.
Tisk.

I might have given flock a chance had it cost less. 1200 credits is way too much.

gah - missed out on discounted Braid while I had the chance, but picked up AH:HD. I'll just have to suck it up and spend the extra $5 for Braid one of these days. The demo has me hooked.

Just FYI, Braid has been released for PC on April 10, 2009.
