UFC 2009 Undisputed, Red Faction: Guerrilla demos now available

THQ has been busy today, dropping demos for both UFC 2009 Undisputed and Red Faction: Guerrilla on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Both demos, which will no doubt square off for your attention this morning, are only available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

In the blue corner, the demo for Undisputed features Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua battling for control of the Octagon. In the Red corner, the demo for Red Faction: Guerrilla finally gives players a taste of single-player action, following a lengthy multiplayer beta. Unfortunately, Guerrilla's demo does not feature the (completely realistic) ostrich hammer ... thankfully, the demo for UFC 2009: Undisputed does. Yes, we were surprised too.

Never heard of the Red Faction game, but I'm a big UFC/MMA fan, I'll definitely try that. Especially because it's made by THQ, the same guys that did the old school WCW games.

Have you ever played a PS2? The series first came out last generation. I haven't played the full retail version but I remember playing the demo that came with the Official PlayStation Magazine for hours.

You don't like UFC or MMA in general? I'm hoping this game gets a ton of people into MMA! Best combat sport on the planet!

Xav, get with the program UFC rules! hehe Might seem a lil brutal to some but they've implemented a lot of rules to protect the fighters. Unless you just don't like fighting at all ;)

I just never had any interest in it. I love boxing and used to box... maybe I should check out UFC sometime.

Kinda off topic but I was just wondering if the Arkham Asylum Batman game ever got a demo release online for either Xbox or PS3 since the other day when I was at work (Best Buy) I noticed that we had a playable demo of it on the PS3. Anybody know for sure?
