Cam footage of TMNT: Turtles in Time remake spotted

Turtles in Time marks the second Konami oldie lined up for a makeover in as many months, following April's reveal of a new Vandal Hearts for PSN and XBLA. While some of us would have much preferred a remake of the NES original TMNT, given that game's crushing difficulty we doubt many gamers today would have survived that particular ride aboard the Technodrome's wayback machine.

Oh man. Looks freakin' awesome. As long as it retains all the things that made the original so enjoyable in the first place, I'm sold. Maybe after the release of this one, they can start working on a remake of Hyperstone Heist? LOL.

what i want to know is can the turtles throw the foot soldiers into the screen? i hope so.
MystileArmor @ May 4th 2009 11:08AM
They would have to, I'd elaborate more, but I don't want to spoil the game.

I get the impression this is based upon the arcade version and I think what you're referring to was only in the SNES version of the title. Sad.

Throwing those evildoers at my screen is one of my fondest memories.

as long as there is some "my toes, my toes", "aww....shell-shocked", and that awesome Pizza Power theme. I'm all for it!

Oh yeah! And what did they say when they fell into the open manholes?

"Uh...who put the lights out?"

HAHA! I remember that freakin level! With those crappy planks, and I hope they keep Rocksteady and Bebop at the end(have those guys even seen 3d yet?). Little worried about attacking in directions, but the tiny energy spot for leonardo and all that space to the right tells me that 4 players seems like a sure thing! I mean, the SNES was 2...but wasn't the arcade version 4?

Man, an additional reference to the old TMNT NES game -- brings back bad memories, one involving Donatello and some sort of zipline. I'm pretty sure that's the first game that made me cry.

TMNT on NES is quite probably the hardest game I've ever played.

Yes, this is all I could've ever asked for.
