Xbox 'deal of the week': Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex for $10
Paragraph of professional obligation: Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex is this week's "Deal of the Week" from Microsoft. The Xbox Original is available to Gold Members for 800
($10), 33 percent off its normal price.
Paragraph of professional facepalm: Microsoft, please cease and desist using the term "deal" until company representatives speak with Valve and learn the true definition. Steam does deals -- real deals! These Xbox deals border on insulting and take the metro around fail town.

Not to mention that the game sucks. I have the PS2 version and it is really horrible, no comparison to Crash 3: Warped!

Freaking Warped had everything! jet ski, motorcycle races, tiger riding time trials, alien secret levels, prehistoric dinosaur chasing you levels, and who can forget those monkeys that gave you apples when you jumped on their back. That game was full of win.
I would buy that in a heartbeat if it came to the xbla.

Last week I bought the Orange Box for $10.
I feel like MS was looking at Apple for discount policy.

the person or persons who come up with these "deals" should be ashamed of themselves

Awesome, now it's down to reasonable price. A "deal" on the other hand? No way, a deal is more like 5$.

Or maybe take a queue from you screw up with Lode Runner. Announce a price of $15, then "accidently" list it for $10. People who wouldn't buy it at $15 will snap it up at $10 (I did!) and you'll see the volume of sales will more than make up for the lost profit of $5. I haven't dropped $15 on a XBLA game, and I don't see myself doing it in the future. I picked up Halo back when it was reduced to 600 points last year, and that's also my only original pickup.
Like Disco Ball and joeybeast said - it's not a deal when you can go buy the physical disk for the same or cheaper.
