Cheat code required for Star Trek D-A-C Achievement

UGO reports that Star Trek D-A-C, which released to XBLA this week, rewards players with an Achievement for entering a cheat code. More specifically, the only way to unlock said Achievement is to enter a cheat code. Reportedly called the 'Kobayashi Maru' Achievement, it's based on a training exercise from the Star Trek universe in which James T. Kirk had to cheat in order to win. The code itself hasn't been discovered, but it supposedly improves the capabilities of the player's ship within the game.

If only there was a code that restored what little hope we had for Star Trek D-A-C.

The Kobayashi Maru wasn't used until Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It was never in the original series.

The Kobayashi Maru was used in the new Star Trek movie, which is what this game is relatively based on.

While true, that's not what Richard says above. He specifically stated it was in the original series, which is was not.

Oops, I only meant to differentiate it from other Star Trek spin-offs, specifically that it occurred in the first iteration of the franchise (not Next Generation, etc). Fixed.

Oh thank God I'm not the only one that knew what (and where) the Kobayashi Maru came from. Personally I think it's funny they would do something like that.

movie kicked ass, im not gonna pick this up lest it curb my enthusiasm for the rebirth of a much beloved franchise.. already seen the film twice and i dont want this game to ruin that warm fuzzy feeling.

i like the idea of using a cheat to beat the challenge assuming they release the actual cheat code so ppl can get the achievo.. very uncool if they leave it up to chance somebody figuring it out on their own..

and it better not be a paid dlc cheat code ala tiger woods

is it bad? i didn't go to BB and buy points yet, so i haven't D/L-ed it...i'm gonna be so pissed if it sucks.
