Next Gears of War 2 update adding experience to Horde mode

Advances to seduce Epic to put out further information about the update, including a release date, proved useless. Jeez Epic, you can be so prude sometimes!

I've always loved playing Horde mode, especially with a friend so adding experience will make us want to play even more!

Gears 2 Sucks dude really!
At release date it had around 200glitches init :( still it took them 4 months to fix the game (What happend to Beta's?)
Yet still today the games lags horriblly
This games is BROKEN!
Shame, i loved Gears 1 aswell... :(

The game lags today because they turned the region filter off and increased the ping response threshold a couple weeks ago. They did that because people in Australia and India couldn't find any matches. So the rest of us have to suffer!!!
When they had the ping at 175 and the region filter turned on, we were all getting silky smooth matches and no BS was going on. Now it's constant BS, but I am still scoring tons of XP....

A kill is not a kill. You cannot at all compare a drone versus the skill of a human player. Same goes with lower rank enemies. I don't know if it would be fair to get the same XP for killing a wretch ;)
I would presume that Epic is at least smart enough to properly scale the XP for kills in Horde mode. Both for the level of the enemy, for the level #, difficulty level.
But this is moot - they've already done that. If nothing else, epic has been very fair with how they hand out points. The only thing you can really get extra benefits in points from is something like Guardian.

I have lots and lots of hours of Horde and very little other non-co-op MP. So this is a good thing I suppose. I might finally get the rookie achievement :)

about time.... I have the most fun playing horde, and really dont enjoy the childish antics of some of the greedy players in the other modes... to the point that I stopped playing them... have been stuck on level 2 for ages, and looking forward to getting the XP in horde ! hooray!

When is the update? ah, kidding. Sounds cool. I like Gears, and like horde, and like new maps to play horde on. I do wish the new content did not make me feel like a fool for buying the first map packs, since they are pretty much free once the new pack comes out in stores. Oh well.

This is great I have been hoping for this since experience was put into gears 2.
If anyone has seen the achievements for the new DLC there are achievements for "Reach level 40 in multiplayer and complete waves 1-40 on the Memorial map in Horde" There are more for levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 for different maps. The achievements were revealed on AchievementHunter.com after the event last week to play the "Nowhere" map

Gears plays like shit STILL. I dunno about saying it's totally broken, but down-voting that guy into oblivion because he's one of the MANY people experiencing problems is sorta childish.

It isn't childish, its a response to the boredom of having to read the same tired rant again and again every time a piece of GOW news comes up. Personally I still really enjoy the game, yes it has its issues but it's still fun as hell and everyone is playing the same game so aside from the cheaters it's an even playing field anyway.
I mean if you really thought it 'plays like shit' why are you clicking on a piece of news for the game and feeling so enammered to leave a comment. Now that's childish.
But, as you say, ahhh, the internet.
