Xbox 360 Fancast BONUS! -- Pre-E3 Extravaganza: Part 1

Do not be alarmed, Fancast fans -- Richard and Dustin are not on this week's episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast. In fact, internally we decided to skip this week in favor of some last minute (and hectic) E3 planning, but we decided we couldn't leave you hanging without your Fancast fix. This episode features Alexander, (razor model) Kevin Kelly and myself (as your host) discussing Joystiq's Microsoft E3 Bingo Card and other E3 predictions.
It's a different host, a different vibe and much lower production quality than you're used to! Excited? No? Don't get too upset though, because this Friday we have another Xbox 360 Fancast coming at you! That's right... two in ONE WEEK! See... we love you.

Still not up on iTunes. *sadface*
Xav de Matos @ May 25th 2009 5:47PM
We're looking into the issue now.
NukeAssault @ May 26th 2009 2:10AM
What would i like to see from MS... Aside from some of your list. All in my dreams of course. =\
Price drop on hard drives.
Thats all i can think of at the moment. Simply cause id really like a 120gb hdd. Ive got a gig left thanks to DLC... And i want more stuff but i simply dont have the room. Not to mention if they do start offering full games for download id like to be prepared.
Xav de Matos @ May 25th 2009 5:51PM
Issue fixed. Should be showing up soonish.
Xav de Matos @ May 25th 2009 6:02PM

Arnie @ May 25th 2009 6:47PM
You were not kidding when you said this was not edited like Richard does :) but appreciate you putting one out anyway.
As far as predictions for E3 go. Most definitely Motion capture. I dont know if you guys have ever been to Epoc (not sure that is the name) in Orlando FL. In there while you wait for one of the rides there are 3 screens lined side by side for people and they can play games against one another using their body. I think its really fun and easy to grasp. So for sure see it coming to 360.
I dont think there will a slimmer version of the 360( with units still failing I dont see it happening)
Obviously Halo3:ODST is a no brainer.
Hoping some more news regarding Kumo and 1vs. 100. Zune HD would be really good.
Xav de Matos @ May 26th 2009 12:57AM
You're welcome?
UNSCleric @ May 25th 2009 8:16PM
I hope Richard and Dustin will be back on Friday's show.
Xav de Matos @ May 26th 2009 12:57AM
Me too.
mossman93 @ May 25th 2009 8:21PM
Dude....seriously if I hear Alexander slam the Zune again my head might explode. "...It's just not an iPod." Thank God! It's better than the iPod in every way. (Just my opinion) I own both, so I'm not just some fanboy defending my purchase. Don't get me wrong, the iPod Touch blows the socks off the 2nd Gen Zune. But the Zune was never meant to compete with the Touch. That's why they're making the ZuneHD. Yeah, they're a little late to the game, but you shouldn't be so dismissive of the ZuneHD. At least admit that the Zune is as good as the iPod and that the ZuneHD will be a legitimate competitor with the Touch.
joeybeast @ May 26th 2009 11:52AM
I don't have a Zune, but I will say that the Zune does not have the sex appeal of an ipod.
And ipod hasn't lost any market share to Zune, yet.
That said, that rumor ZuneHD is sexy as hell.
tyrone hawk @ May 25th 2009 8:30PM
Thanks for all the effort, guys. I liked the show very much. As for your comments on the frinds list, Xav, I also share your view. It's useless to expand the list limit if you can't organize the list as you see fit. Trying to organize a Gears 2 session with some of the 200 people on your list would be a total waste of time.
Xav de Matos @ May 26th 2009 12:58AM
Thanks for the nice comment... also, I'm always right so I'm not surprised you agree with me!
UNSCleric @ May 25th 2009 8:35PM
I also would like to say that the Zune is so much better than the iPod. I used to own an iPod back in 2005, and had problem after problem, which is not surprising when you look at the huge defect rate on the iPod (makes the PS2 looks reliable).
I've had my Zune 30GB since the day it came out on 11/14/2006 and never had a single problem. I would never buy anything but a Zune-branded mp3, etc. player.
Chuck Jacobson @ May 26th 2009 12:06PM
Wow, you are so wrong. The iPhone/iPod Touch games are off the chain. If iTunes ever gets a subscription service then the Zune will die a very quick death.
DjDATZ @ May 26th 2009 9:49AM
For the guy who was complaining about the Burnout Paradise taking up 10GBs of his HDD, he CAN delete every 1.x version other than the latest. The updates are all inclusive. Each new update includes all the content previously released within it, so you can delete everything before Burnout Paradise 1.8. Do NOT delete the DLC "packs" that you've downloaded as those are your ticket to unlocking the content off the updates.
Chuck Jacobson @ May 26th 2009 12:05PM
Right! That's non-obvious though.
DjDATZ @ May 26th 2009 12:26PM
It's not obvious by any means, and Criterion need to state it somewhere, maybe in the description of the update...
FuzzFace @ May 26th 2009 9:52AM
Xav sounds great so far, no skypeouts, i assume this is because he is recording the show, in which case he should record the show every week, even it he doesn't host it.
Chuck Jacobson @ May 26th 2009 12:04PM
WHY would I want to DOWNLOAD ODST to my 20GB Hard Drive? I keep about 1.5 GB free to download demos. DLC takes up a lot of space. MS must start selling cheaper hard drives if they want to go this download route...
joeybeast @ May 26th 2009 4:15PM
You know what'll be cool is to be able to use external hdd.
The one in the xbox is just a regular laptop hdd anyway.
Just have the Xbox format the external hdd.
For people that need a more elegant solution, MS will sell 500gb hdd for $625 (based on 120gb cost $150).
ZForce915 @ May 26th 2009 5:15PM
On the RSS feed episode 52 shows up. Odd...
