Major Nelson giving away tickets to MS E3 briefing
Do you like video games, specifically those on Microsoft platforms? Can you be in the Los Angeles area on June 1 at 8:30am? Well, guess what? Major Nelson is giving away tickets to Microsoft's E3 Media Briefing, which just so happens to take place in Los Angeles on June 1st. Entering for your chance to win is as easy as sending an email -- which is really easy, incidentally -- and Major Nelson will accept entries until Thursday at 12:00pm PT.
One caveat, the event isn't for the kiddies, what with Microsoft's penchant for M-rated games, so you must be 18 or older. Thankfully, as our experience with Xbox Live has illustrated, most Xbox gamers are incredibly mature adults, so we're sure it won't be a problem.

I hope I win. I would love to see all those new titles. Plus I can't wait for the joystiq e3 after party this year. I still have my KANE bobble head from last year!

I actually won a pair from the "Be A Contender" Sweepstakes, but I was unable to find someone to make the drive with me from Phoenix to LA. So I had to call them today and officially decline the prize. So some lucky person will be getting a call from Gage Marketing (the outsourced company who handles this prize drawing) today and hopefully that person will be able to go and enjoy the event. Meanwhile, I'll be reading about the briefing shortly after it happens, just like everyone else. And to the person who wanted to sell his tickets if he won, fyi, they are 100% non-transferable and are picked up in person at the Radisson with photo ID verification. = [

Why would you have to be 18 because of M games if M-rated games are 17+
Sambo @ May 28th 2009 8:40PM
If you don't remember the policy that Micro-Stupid started not too long ago, if you have a parental account, then you're not allowed to download M-rated or RP-rated game demos and trailers. It'll say that you're not old enough, even if you are. So Micro-Sucks made that 18+ rule because of not only that, but Microsoft thought that screwing over the ESRB's game rating policies would be loads of fun. That's why so many people lie about their ages so they can basically do anything. Microsoft really is the epitome of GAY!

I won. Wow.
Going to the Galen Center at USC on Monday! RIPPING!
Sambo @ May 28th 2009 8:40PM
I don't know why they won't let 17-year-olds in. M-rated games are for people 17+ (like anyone really seems to care these days), not 18+.
