Mass Effect Special Edition trailer relives game's better moments

Bioware isn't all about Mass Effect 2, you know. The company is also trying to get more folks to play the original Mass Effect through its special edition two-disc set of the first game that includes the original title and the 'Bring Down the Sky' DLC, among the other small goodies you see in the trailer above. We guess this puts to bed all those rumors about additional Mass Effect DLC, which is a real shame because, well, we like Mass Effect and totally want to play more of it. Thankfully, we can do just that when Mass Effect 2 hits shelves early next year.

How is this different from the 2-disc version I already have, which had Bring Down the Sky and various other goodies on the 2nd disc?

I got my copy in the mail today! the premium theme is awesome and so are the videos! especially the making of and sci vs.fi! can't wait to start the game. I will install it first to have the best experience possible! =)

Yeah but Joystiq's making it sound like this is something new, but I've had it for a couple months now, sitting beside my Limited Edition of the game.

Mass Effect 2 was not mention on today.
I'm guess that's going Multi-platform without any timed exclusive.

no it'll probably be at the E3 conference, and it will be multiplatform in that it's on xbox and PC

Well, I guess there's also nothing else EA related on MS presentation.

I just want to see more footage of the game.

I'm guessing we'll be seeing Mass Effect 2 at the Playstation press conference. Not that I'll be watching it.

In this month's issue of OXM Mass Effect 2 Project Director Casey Hudon is asked:

Q: Is the second round of DLC for Mass Effect still happening, or did it get scrapped?

A: We are definitely working on a substantial new DLC. We're finishing it up and making sure that it's going to be really good, and then we'll announce it, probably pretty soon. That'll be the last thing between Mass Effect 1 and 2 in terms of new content.
