I'm super excited for this. My wife and kid will have to miss me for a while.

So I'm guessing this is just like MTG:Online, where you buy cards virtually and then use them in the game. I guess the big trouble is I've already spent a lot of real cards, so it'd cost a lot to get a decent deck. However, would be cool to play friends over Live in this, I'll keep it on the radar

Might wanna check out their Hands On. From what I recall, it's nothing like that.
lippenhoffer @ Jun 3rd 2009 5:32PM
They said no boosters or buying cards. All cards will be gotten by winning/playing matches.
I am super-excited about this!

Man, I've been excited for this game since I saw it at Comic Con 4 months ago. Only two more weeks...!
Neorev @ Jun 3rd 2009 5:50PM

Wow, I had no idea anyone was working on an M:TG game for the xbox. I'm psyched. I hope it's as I've read in these posts, that you don't have to keep buying virtual cards to build a collection or create a deck.
Silencio @ Jun 3rd 2009 6:28PM
Sounds awesome, especially since they don't make you buy extra cards. That's a dealbreaker.
Azmati @ Jun 3rd 2009 6:41PM
Looks like an updated version of the old Windows 95/98 M:TG:DOTP.

If its anything like like old game it will have multiple sets with it. Other/future sets will probably be released as DLC. Like they did with Spells of the Ancients originally.
blue ocarina @ Jun 3rd 2009 11:33PM
I hope this is the case. I still play that game, even though it's buggy and dated. I'll even buy sets as DLC if that's what it takes, but buying individual cards/boosters is a dealbreaker for me.
djbuhhda @ Jun 3rd 2009 9:50PM
i loved the magic game for xbox, never played the card game but i'll give it a go, but some yu-gi-oh would also be pretty awesome before they nerfed all the cards.
protofunc @ Jun 4th 2009 4:19PM
word unto your mother. i'd totally be there for some yugioh. i might pick this up, although i've never played the actual card game. gonna have to read up on the rules :D
kumpa @ Jun 15th 2009 6:45PM
is there also a single player game? how does it work if i have no internet, can i download it?
mello.steven @ Jun 17th 2009 8:14PM
You need to be on XBL market place to download, so ya you need an internet conection.
vinnyman @ Jun 17th 2009 7:43AM
Has anyone seen this game on XBLA this morning? Sam & Max is there, not seeing this entry though for some reason ...
mello.steven @ Jun 17th 2009 6:33PM
Has anyone had any trouble downloading the game, it keeps giving me the "80070025 - Not compatible" message.
Gilbert Palau @ Jun 18th 2009 1:43PM
There were some issues downloading the game last night (wednesday) and then later on when I was able to grab the game, the "special" card from Wizards of the Coast didn't download for me.
So far I am enjoying the game a lot, its challenging in Single Player and when Im done with those quests I'll go online to get owned.
