Down for the count: Players report Fight Night Round 4 glitch

According to Team Xbox, there's a nasty glitch bogging down players in Fight Night Round 4. This glitch causes the game to suddenly freeze, forcing players to actually get up and turn off their Xbox consoles. Wait, get up? That's crazy talk!

Supposedly, this is an issue tied to certain files and the HDD, though there isn't any explanation beyond that. And what makes this so surprising is that the game's demo had a few glitches, including a freezing glitch just like this one. We've put in word to EA to get to the bottom of this issue and will be sure to get back to you with what we find.

EA's games seem to be chock full of glitches lately.

Yeah... the Sims 3 was particularly painful. After a good 6 hour session, I tried to save, and got the dreaded corrupt save error (it's where the game still works, but it cannot save your current progress). I haven't played it since.

Has anyone tried the "Storage Maintenance" key combo? (highlight your hard drive under "Memory" in "System Settings." Then press Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X)

Some people are even complaining that FNR4 is Red Ringing their 360's... I bought this game but after hearing about all of this, I'm glad I haven't played it yet...

yeah man the fucking demo started freezing my system a while back then it just red ringed! the demo red ringed my xbox, its bullshit! this is the second time its red ringed and ive returned it to get it fixed through warranty no i can't. this pisses me off so much.

I have a fix for this...Take your Ethernet cord out before you go to play FN4....Then Plug it in when you pass the Fight Night and the EA sports logo there you go.....

I think it the EA servers though...Its crazy man I erased my FN4 save files over this...Also I heard the Ps3 version framerates drop when a person signs in or sign out when your playing...So I really thinks it the servers...just use the fix I posted above till EA fix this things enjoy the game its pretty good...

Aw c'mon guys, stop your whining. It just woudn't feel right without a game-breaking bug surfacing on the release date of a major EA sports title. That's half the fun ;)

When has this started happening? I played thru the demo once without a problem, and created myself last night in the game and didn't have any problems. Is this only happening for online playing or the whole gameplay overall?

Hey i have had this problem since the demo and the easiest way to fix it for me was to unplug or log off xbox live, then load the game. The game will load just fine and after it has go ahead and log back on to xbox live. it's very annoying to do that everytime but if you wanna play, its what you have to do!
