Xbox 360 Fancast 128 -- Who Moved Christmas?

We're one short this week, as Dustin was off doing something more important (and perhaps illicit). And yet, we still soldier on. After all, you need your Fancast and we're here to make sure you get it. Download the latest for plenty of news, fanmail and some lengthy discussion on Shadow Complex. Also, we've got special music this week, "Donuts, Go Nuts!" from 'Splosion Man. It's good.

I keep hearing about this donut song from Splosion Man but haven't actually heard it yet. Is it like Portal where I should complete the game before listening to the song?
Richard Mitchell @ Aug 3rd 2009 5:33PM
No, it won't harm your playing experience to listen to it. It's just a funny song.

Looks like the podcast isn't in the XML feed as of yet. Maybe they posted it to the wrong category or something?
Xav de Matos @ Aug 3rd 2009 8:37PM
Should be up now. I downloaded it around 7:30pm, so it should be on iTunes for you too.

Left4dead 2 ftw

hahaha, i read the splosion man comment on the review.
The main problem is the online co-op, it laggs and goes out of sync... but same console co-op is a lot of fun.
also you can't forget about the hardcore mode... that mode makes the game 10x harder and actually verges on annoying...

Richard almost spoiled me in posting last week's Fancast early. Was wondering when this would post today!
Remember to 5-star the show on iTunes, everyone. I like my art viewed by many :)

Just finished listening to this ep, awkward pauses and all.
I'm also with Richard in the notion I'm currently hating Xav; I want to play Shadow Complex very, very much, ya hoser.
Is it so wrong to love to hear you guys refer to me constantly? 'Cause I do. Smiley face.
Lastly, I'll mention this:
I'm looking forward to both Halo 3: ODST and Modern Warfare 2 but we DO have a lot of other promising games to look forward to before 2010.
You guys glossed the hell over Beatles Rock Band, Brutal Legend, Left 4 Dead 2, Saboteur, Assassin's Creed 2, Dante's Inferno, Scribblenauts (NDS) and maybe Dead Rising 2. (I'm iffy on a date announce for that one.) I'm sure there are others I'm overlooking, too. Anyway, yeah..we'll get our shooty fun this Holiday but there's a ton of other stuff I'm at least looking forward to.

So what are some of these podcasts that Xav referred to, that are ripping on Joystiq? I want to hear what these idiots are saying...
JAgamer @ Aug 4th 2009 11:58AM
You guys never get all four people in the podcast these days.
Mauricio - GT: Zed Word @ Aug 4th 2009 1:19PM
Hey Xav, i think they made the protagonist in Shadow Complex to look like Nathan Drake on purpose.
its supposed to be a joke. They even have Nolan North voicing him as well.
Lee @ Aug 8th 2009 9:04AM
Wow - the Fancast is soooo much better without Dustin.
Not having him heavy breathing, saying erm, and repeating everything you say made the podcast a trillion times more enjoyable.
He never adds anything noteworthy to the podcast anyway. He can't provide any isightful commentary because, for the most part, he only plays the same two games.
God knows how he got his job on Joystiq.
