Vote for your favorite Assassin's Creed 2 achievement
On its official forum, Ubisoft is giving gamers the chance to vote for a future Achievement/Trophy in Assassin's Creed 2 -- otherwise known as one of the few games not delayed into 2010. The choices are:
- "The Taste of Revenge" -- Kill X Brutes (heavy guard)
- "Weapon Master" -- Use all weapons at least once
- "Victory Lies in Preparation" -- Get all available upgrades for Ezio
- "Mighty Traveler" -- Travel X kilometers within the game

How about something not totally cliched and overdone.
HitNRun @ Aug 11th 2009 8:16PM
Seriously. I find myself picking "Weapon Master" because I figure "well, that would be the least tedious one to get..."
BIacked Out @ Aug 11th 2009 8:19PM
hear, hear.

Completely agree. When I read the title of this article I figured they would show us some very nice and creative achievements but instead I see the standard cookie cutter achievements nearly every game uses.
I will still enjoy the game but I give them a fail on this voting on sub-par achievements like it's amazing or something.
Lucas @ Aug 11th 2009 8:20PM
I could see Ubisoft putting all four of them in, no matter what the community votes.
dupuis @ Aug 11th 2009 8:28PM
"Weapon Master" -- Use all weapons at least once for sure. But they all seem like the lame achievements that developers are going towards nowadays. All upgrades seems like a given, doesnt it?

A quick comment on the headline:
Originally I was going to put achievement/trophy to play nice with everyone, but it would have messed up our slug and it looked really ugly ... Also, I figured if anyone complained about the lack of the word trophy, they obviously didn't read the article.

I'm suing
Chromekreeper @ Aug 11th 2009 10:10PM

JUST KIDDING! tomatoes, tamatoes
greqo @ Aug 11th 2009 9:27PM
The 1st one sounds a lot like the templar achievements...
Jesus (PSN: Luttdawg) @ Aug 11th 2009 9:35PM
There are some games that use achievement/trophies in awesome ways. This does not seem like one of them.
Prat @ Aug 12th 2009 8:04PM
Fable 2 had awesome achievements.
paperless @ Aug 11th 2009 9:52PM
Weapon Master, let's hope it awards a cool weapon prob.
bt389 @ Aug 11th 2009 11:25PM
how about one for doing the same boring shit over and over then seeing an ending that has nothing to do with the next game? that's my vote. ubisoft sucks.
ShdyLTD8 @ Aug 11th 2009 11:31PM
"with your ps eye camera(or 360 cam) play the game for 15 hours straight by doing same mission all the time, then beat the game and get a fucked up ending and record your expression"
RedSonRising @ Aug 11th 2009 11:35PM
please no achievements for collecting flags: i refuse to hunt for 'cogtags' ever again and ill never get achievements related to anything like that.
Alex @ Aug 12th 2009 11:17AM
Hunt for COG tags? Really? I had 28/30 after my first run through of the game. Played it a second time on co-op and got the remaining two. Easy.
The flags, however, sucked. I killed all of the Templars easy enough, though.
whylekat @ Aug 14th 2009 10:33AM
Then flags only sucked cause there were like 1,500 of them and no way to look for them except for dreadfully boring exploration.
I'll never be able to explain while collecting was such a blast in Crackdown but so slow and demanding in most other titles....
Conor @ Aug 13th 2009 6:44AM
These have to be the most generic choices for achievements ever.
Way to bore us Ubisoft......
whylekat @ Aug 14th 2009 10:26AM
Why do I get the feeling that somehow all of these achievements will end up in the game. Christ, these have zero personality. =/
they're all terrible and unimaginative. Let's just vote for the easiest one. By easiest I mean least tiddious.
