The Summer of Arcade continues this week with Trials HD. Probably the least talked about game in the Summer of Arcade, we're happy to report that it seems like a solid title. It evokes the simplicity of Excite Bike as well as the zen state brought on by a perfect run in games like Tony Hawk. It also includes plenty of broken bones and explosions. So, something for everyone, really. Check out the latest XBLA in Brief and see what you think. The full version is 1200 ($15).

I played the demo, and although it had it's moments... It seems too small... Only 50 levels? I guess the price comes from being able to play, make, and share custom levels... which, if enough people do will make the game last longer...
I know about the challenges, but most of those aren't really levels... The skiing one is done within 3 seconds... then there's one where you break all your bones... the goal is to pretty much hit the explosives... another you just fly through a series of flaming rings on a jet propelled motorcycle...
the 15 or so additional challenges are really not that much extra gameplay... unless you are "really" bad at them...
If it was 800, ild consider buying it. Trial was quite fun, found myself replaying levels to make sure I get that gold medal. Havent even touched the level editor yet, but 1200 Failpoints is way too much.
Ooo, love that new opening animation. Played flash games like this ways back and i really enjoyed them. When i get the money ill be sure to keep my mind open to it. But BF1943 comes first. =D
Since Battlefield 1943 came out i can't help but compare the amount of playability it provides for the price with the amount of playability other games offer for the same 1200ripoffpoints. Trials HD is very nice but i don't think it's worth the 1200 points.
Trials has tons of content with little replayability unless you care to make and play user levels. Battlefield has very little content and seemingly infinite replayability as long as you have friends with the game.
They both offer a good bang for your buck, but I'm just in the camp where I'd much rather experience a lot once rather than a little multiple times. I've probably put more time into Trials HD this morning than I've put into Battlefield 1943 in the month or so it has been out / I purchased it.
Hopefully they'll both get some official DLC at some point though. I'd love a denser map in 1943 and some new skill games in Trials.
It sounds like a great game by its next to real features like breaking bones and others injuries i think the feature like broken bone in a fighting gmae would really be appreciable in alll manner.............. http://www.electrocomputerwarehouse.com

You don't listen much do you?
There's 50 levels, but there are additional challenges as well.

50 seems small, but a lot of what made Trials 2 so good on Steam was trying to shave time off your runs to inch up the leaderboard.

I loved the demo but unfortunately I don't have enough MS points for Shadow Complex and this. I'm 300 points short of bring able to get both.

Go to the zune marketplace and buy points in smaller increments, thus allowing you to only spend the money to get what you want.

This might happen after I get Serious Sam HD.

I have this game and let me tell you that it's really addicting. The challenges are way too fun as well.
