MS details Lips DLC for the rest of August
Attention, karaoke buffs, Microsoft has unveiled the Lips DLC for the remainder of August, and there's quite a variety to be had. From Coldplay to Creedence, from Robyn to Robbie Williams, there's something for everyone. There's also Timbuk3's "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades," which should should be enough for anyone. The upcoming August releases are each priced at 160
($2). Starting today, they are as follows:
August 14:
"With Every Heartbeat" – Robyn
"Love Is Gone" – David Guetta and Chris Willis
August 21:
"The Road to Mandalay" – Robbie Williams
"Talk" – Coldplay
August 27:
"Angel" – Shaggy
"Proud Mary" – Creedence Clearwater Revival
*"Song for Whoever" is not available in U.K., Ireland and the Netherlands.

And still no word if the current DLC will be compatible with the next Lips release or if you'll be able to rip the tracks from the first game. Maybe Alexander could follow up on that? :)

I've read pretty consistently across all sources the the DLC for the current title will work with the new one.
And as for the tracks from the first disc, they've confirmed that they'll run on the newer game, but how exactly that will work is yet to be announced. Rumor has it that you'll have to swap discs, but it will keep you in game without having to reboot. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll let you rip the tracks like RB2 and the upcoming Guitar Hero games.
Also, still waiting for the update that lets the Lips mic work with Rock Band and Guitar Hero that was announced months ago.... :-(
