Bomberman Live blasts out 500,000 downloads

Just to put the sales in context, Bomberman Live was released on XBLA way back in July of 2007, meaning it took just over two years for the title to amass 500,000 downloads. It was also one of the first XBLA titles to add Avatar support. If you've yet to pick it up and happen to be looking for an evergreen party game, we suggest you give it a try.

Congrats, I might actually give this a try. What about the Online multiplayer are there still people playing it?

Shame that it is arguably the worst traditional Bomberman ever, I'd rather play Act Zero than this. Why can't they just go back to their roots and make everyting simple with all the power-ups through Bomberman Online. I'd kill for multi-level stages like Bomberman 64, mounts like in the later Super Bomberman, a tournament style single-player mode with bosses, and a level editor.
Hell, couldn't we just get a straight up port of Bomberman Online or Saturn Bomberman?!?

MOAR RANT!
It kills me how slow the game is too, you've got these huge bubbly and bouncy graphics, every game runs like it is playing on one of those old V-Tech TV Edutainment Consoles. One of my all time favorite Bomberman memories was on Super Bomberman, cranking the speed, fire, and bomb count all the way up and running around like madmen trying to blow each other up... We'd play it for hours, and I've MAYBE put a single hour into Bomberman Online. I just wish studios would stop outsourcing their babies to companies like Backbone, they rarely get the formula right.

This game is as dead as my old jordan retro's!
I bought this like the first day it came out and it was great online then few weeks later nobody ever plays online...
thought the avatar thing would kick some heads in but still nobody plays, I totally disagree that those are actual sales cause if they were there are tons that bought it for just the achievements I guess and not the fun!
