Guitar Hero 5 content walks this way to Avatar Marketplace [Update]

Update: The price of almost all the Guitar Hero 5 content has doubled.

If (for whatever reason) you think your Xbox Avatar is starting to reek from a lack of fresh clothing and you're a fan of rocking out, Guitar Hero 5 content is now available on the Xbox Live Avatar Marketplace. From torn shirts to plastic controllers, the Guitar Hero 5 Game Styles section has a varied selection of new Avatar items. Also, with most of the content modestly priced at 80

($1 USD) a pop, the Guitar Hero 5 styles are a long way from attacking gamer wallets (we're looking at you, $5 Lightsaber). Ignore the previous statement, this content is now as overpriced as the rest of the Avatar Marketplace. A full list of the new content and (new) prices can be found after the break.

Well, not so reasonably priced anymore. The guitar is now $3, and a lot of other stuff seems to be a dollar more than what is listed here.

When you can buy a full xbla game for the same price as some of this avatar junk.... It just seems to me to be insulting to gamers, developers, and anyone else who knows the value of a dollar.

There is zero interaction with this stuff and the only occassion where you really see your avatar a lot is 1vs100.

Please people, if we don't buy $5 lightsabers then they can't sell lightsabers for $5! Ugh! Think it through!!

Can everyone stop giving Microsoft free publicity of ridiculously over priced content? Seriously, charging for these things is pathetic, I can live with the Xbox Live Gold fee, I can half tolerate charging $10 bucks for a map pack even though you can download it for free as a patch on PC, but this is gone way too far. Microsoft should be ashamed, further more the people buying these/reporting on these should be crucified. You are just proving to Microsoft that people are stupid enough to cave into these things.

and just cos someone buys it doesn't make them a retard, maybe they like spending money, or making their avatar look more unique via spending some of their money!

you get your free clothes every now and again! but you can't expect ms to put clothing that's got companies names/logos on it up their for free! they charge for that shit!!
