WET demo slips onto Xbox Live
If there's one thing we've learned about video games marketing we've learned here at Joystiq, it's that most game designers and PR firms assume that the average gamer loves the idea of attractive women with swords (and zombies, if possible). Enter WET, a game featuring an attractive woman with a sword and guns and bullet-time. Thankfully, based on our time with the game, it does more than simply play on the attractions of the male gamer stereotype, it's actually pretty fun.
If taking control of sword-wielding, gun-toting, bullet time-using female badass sounds like your cup of tea, you'll be happy to know that a demo is now available on Xbox Live. Go get it.

Really, just let us know if she has big boobs so we can make our decision.

Um.. do you have a link to the demo?
I did a quick search and it just pulled up a video to download.

I'm not sure what's in the demo, but I played a few levels of WET a little while back, and it is surprisingly fun. However, one could also get a copy of Stranglehold for like $5 somewhere and have almost the same experience.
haukke @ Aug 25th 2009 7:53PM

"I'm gonna get WET!!!!"
That's what she said.
Mr Zero @ Aug 26th 2009 5:04AM
I'm quite impressed by this. Basically, this is a combo of Stranglehold + Tarantino's Grindhouse feature! It's silly, it's over-the-top but its fun! There's also a small segment that reminds me of Killer 7. Will be a fun rental.

this game is weak and a fail. This game doesn't deserve the press its getting. Best thing about this bad Stranglehold clone game is the name. Character designs=Fail! Animations= Fail! Story=Fail everything about this game sucks.
Spliffdizzle @ Aug 26th 2009 9:37AM
Would it be out of line to ask for the Joystiq'r posting these things to put a link to the marketplace? You guys know you can do that, right?
Richard Mitchell @ Aug 26th 2009 11:50AM
Both the image and the source link do exactly that.
Spliffdizzle @ Aug 26th 2009 12:24PM
Ah, I stand corrected! Thank you kind sir for not whacking me with the banhammer of justice for my insolent comment!
Bluemanrule @ Aug 26th 2009 10:20AM
Great title Richard. I cued up the demo. I'm rather skeptical of this game but I'm a fan of the studio and Eliza so I'm looking to be surprised.
sleepydumbdude @ Aug 26th 2009 1:38PM
I played it and liked it but not enough to buy at full price. Most likely will rent and if don't get around to renting it and find it for 30 or under eventually I'll get it for that price. The grainy started to annoy me towards the end of the demo though.
