We spend quite a bit of time talking about the Elite price cut as well as the "flexibility" offered by not including HDMI or component cables in the new bundle. Actually, it's "Joystiq [Xbox]" if you subscribe now. It doesn't automatically change the feed name for you if you have subscribed before the change.

If HDMI cost $1 to include in the box taking it out saves Microsoft millions over the lifetime of the Xbox360. The hard drive is the only legitimate gripe, but if they are coming out with a bigger hard drive then it is safe to assume they are going to drop the price at some point probably just in time for Black Friday.

Hey, with all this shiz around the price drop, is it worth buying an elite now and risk missing the (possible) larger HDD and (possible) further price cut to the pro price once the pro is gone? I want to upgrade from my core system cus its slowly dying but i don't wanna feel like i've been screwed over for adopting early, even with a good bundle offer.(i don't want natal).

PS im from the UK, which is basically the same except the prices are all 50 less.

Personally, I'd wait until the holidays. I'm sure there will be some decent bundles then.

i desperately need a new hdd (my near launch 20gb is always full to the brim) but im holding out for news of a possible 250gb elite. if nothing comes out by christmas i might take the plunge and get an elite to replace my replacement replacement 360

Ok, the guy keeps talking about people walking around with bags of 'schwag' when he clearly meant 'swag'... When I heard schwag, I thought he was talking about a giant potfest.

Swag pronunciation has an emphasis on the 's', whereas schwag has a 'sh' sound at the beginning which is what he was saying.
