Three new games hit Xbox Live Arcade this week. We've got a brawler in The Warriors, a twin-stick shooter in Zombie Apocalypse and ... something different in Ion Assault (in a good way). Huh? That's not what XBLA in Brief is about. It's a recurring feature wherein Richard gives us a little video sample and his impression of the demos of the new titles for the week. To be honest... I don't know that there are any consistent, organized reviews of XBLA titles.

Nice reviews again Richard. XBLA in Brief is compulsive viewing for me!

I didn't even try Ion Assault yesterday, but I am going to add it to my queue right now.

I finally got around to trying Ion Assualt, and I think the ONE thing that keeps it from becoming a great game is the aiming control. I really wish they would have offered an option to change the way you fire by pointing in that direction with the second stick, rather than spinning towards that direction. I found the spin firing a bit tedious and rather unenjoyable. The game, in my opinion, suffers as a result.
