We're not here to talk about that, though -- instead, we're here to give you the heads up on what the rest of this month has in store for penny-pinching purchasers looking for goodies on Xbox Live. So let's get to it:

I'll battle your ship
Wait, what?

I still don't get how they charged for RE5's versus mode in the first place.
Of course, then they go and charge $7 for free Left 4 Dead content, so I guess they're consistent. Now, if only they can turn that power of consistency to the Light Side instead of the Dark Side...

"Boo!" to DLC. Get more XBLA games on that list!

I just played and finished Fable II this month (I know, I'm a little behind), and loved every second of it. I just might have to pick up the Pub Games for 5 bucks.

I might have to pick up a couple more of the Hasbro Family Game Night games now...
$10 for for the ones remaining that I don't have is a bit too much (I'm missing 4/7)
I really hope they all get listed for $5!
I seriously doubt it though...
I would buy a few for that price... if it is less of a discount than that though, I will probably only get 1 at the most.

I didn't get any because I felt the $10 was too much when the Wii had them all packed in for $40. But if they dropped them to $5, I'd pick up most of them.
TheDave @ Oct 9th 2009 11:35AM
$10 was pushing the limit for the games I bought (scrabble / boggle).
But for the countless hours I played them over LIVE! while talking / BS'ing with a couple of my friends, they were worth it.

I don't know if they are still doing it but I got a free copy of pub games off of the Fable 2 developers blog. I think it's probably quiet over there at the moment but once they release some news about Fable 3 I'm sure there will be some new codes up.
xmastree @ Oct 9th 2009 2:20PM
Aren't the fable 2 pub games the exact same games that are already in fable 2, which are playable at the pubs/taverns throughout the game? Not really a worthwhile purchase if you already own the game.

NOW, Where Can I get some cheap MS points.

I don't think I'll be buying the Resident Evil DLC only because of all this "talk" of a new version of Resident Evil 5 being released. If it's a completely new "disc" then there's a good chance they'll add the DLC in as a added value to the package to encourage owners of the original to purchase it.
If the new Res5 content ends up being DLC, I still think it could be bundled with the existing DLC. Either way, I highly doubt many people even play Res5 online anymore...
The other two deals don't look too bad though. I buy most of the discounted XBLA games either way (such as Pinball FX a couple weeks ago). I like to support reasonable prices.

why were all the games EXCEPT Sorry discounted. Sorry is still 800pts. Sorry is more valuable or popular than Scrabble?
