299DKK here in Denmark, for Dead Space (and DiRT, actually). Dead Space can be found for 99DKK new, 50DKK used. New games are usually priced at about 549DKK.
Something ain't fuckin' right.

That is really good price for Dead Space. I might buy it next paycheck. Too much for the DLC, but the game is at god price.

This is good, and all but my friend says he knows a method where he can get ANY game, any time, and for free. I don't know how, but he seems to have every game that comes out, I gotta know how he does it.

Thats called piracy and its illegal.

I've also pre-ordered like 10 games this fall, for like 20% of the normal price - no piracy involved.
in Denmark, GameStop have these crazy "Give us 2 used game, get a new one for free" offers, and I can buy a used game for roughly 50DKK (Whereas the new games would retail for 549DKK). I pre-ordered Brütal Legend, Halo:ODST, L4D2, Assassin's Creed 2, etc. this way. There are some titles though, where you have to pay 199DKK + the two games, to pre-order the new game (for an example, MW2), but heck, it's still an excellent offer.

Even when comparing these 2 games together inside a vacuum of themselves only, these prices still don't even make any sense. DiRT was released way earlier, already has a sequel and is more expense than Dead Space?

Dead Space (PAL) is £12.95 at mymemory.co.uk, including worldwide free shipping. I don't know if it's region free. GRID *should* be region free (the Asia & US version are) and costs £13.95 as a classic over there. Just a tip, I'm not advertising for them. You can also check zavvi or any other UK retailer, they're pretty cheap.

Uh, sorry. I thought the article said "GRID", not "DiRT". Anyways, that one even saves you £1.

Timmy: *sniff sniff* "Daddy, where did DiRT and Dead Space go?" *sniff*
Daddy: "Don't worry, Timmy - they're with GoD now..."

Finally, a game that isn't a complete rip-off.
Well.. I guess it's still a rip-off if you figure that you can sell your used copy of Dead Space and make 50% of the money back whereas you can't really do that with a digital copy.
Still, laziness rules supreme and I'll buy it so I don't have to get off my ass to change discs :\

Or half.com has Dead Space for $13.95. Please do not give in to these ridiculous prices. We as consumers have to put our foot down and let MS, Sony, etc. know that their pricing is messed up.
Deegan @ Oct 30th 2009 5:46PM
I think that MS and Sony should put up rare and new games on games on demand (i.e. Symphony of the night) that are difficult to find or get ahold of. Power stone, anyone?
