Real-life Halo spike grenade not for the timid
Remember the full size custom Warthog from the upcoming Halo fan film, Operation Chastity? It looks like the creation of more props is rolling right along, as HBO points out the handmade Brute spike grenade seen above. As you can see, it's made to scale, meaning it's huge compared to an average human, and even pretty hefty for a seven foot tall Spartan. The prop was created by smick6, who also created the excellent replica Brute Spiker we featured earlier this year. The (fake) grenade is made entirely of ABS plastic and (presumably) a lot of love.
Assuming the quality of Operation Chastity is on par with its props, we just might be in for a treat when the film is finally completed.

So if that's life size, how does an ODST carry 3 of them and throw them around like a normal sized grenade?

The same way they are able to jump 30 feet into the air, I'm guessing.
But yeah anyone who has even played a Halo game once can tell that's way too big. When you sticky someone with one of them they are pretty small when stuck on their body.

Yeah, that is not to scale...

That's what she said.
