N64 makeover: New Perfect Dark XBLA shots

Rare has posted some new screenshots of the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade remake of Perfect Dark. If you're looking at the above screen and thinking it doesn't look too hot, you aren't alone. Fret not, however, as this is a shot from the original game. After the break, you can see what the wizards at Rare have done to beautify the original.

It still doesn't look amazing...

But it's definitely an improvement, and it's interesting in that it retains the feel of the original without looking so murky.

New one is much more better.

Considering that the N64 had a cartridge system, and PS2 has a disc system, how could they have had intercourse? I mean... I guess they could of scissored...

Could have been artificial insemination.
- One part N64 and one part PS2
- Mix both parts in a bowl, let stand 10 minutes
- Bake at 450 for 30-35 minutes (depending on your oven)
- Let cool for 15 minutes and voila, your NintendoStation or Playtendo is good to go!

In a way, I kind of hope they have an option to toggle the old "motion blur" which was the only part of the game I hated.

Hopefully this will stop some of those "it looks just like the N64 version, what did they do?" type comments. People seem to forget how awful some of those games looked lol

So now, instead of looking like an N64 game on an old TV, it just looks like the first Deus Ex on an old computer. I guess that's better.

As long as it's better than PD Zero, I'm still interested.
