Dante's Inferno demo now available on XBLM
The demo is 1GB in size, and while we didn't see it available on the console itself (though it should be there soon), you can follow this link on over to the Xbox website and queue up the download from there. Just don't come crying to us when Grandma's shocked after walking in and seeing what you're doing on the "gamebox." Make sure you know where the smelling salts are.
Resident Evil 5 demo now infects XBLM worldwide
Attention Resident Evil fans not currently living on the island nation of Japan: The Resident Evil 5 demo is now available to Xbox Live Gold members everywhere (except Germany). The demo contains two levels and allows for co-op play both offline and over Xbox Live. There don't appear to be any major differences between this demo and the demo that was released in Japan last month, so don't expect any surprises if you managed to play it before. Actually, there might be one surprise: It probably won't stop working week from now.
Go ahead and queue up your download right now. While you're waiting, why not check out our impressions of the Japanese demo after the break? It'll do you good.

Halo Wars is gold, new behind the scenes documentary

Microsoft announced today that the Spartan-fueled RTS Halo Wars has gone gold and will soon be winging its way to retailers the world over. The company also revealed new details regarding the upcoming demo, which will hit Xbox Live Marketplace on February 5. The demo is set to include the first two campaign missions of the game as well as one of the game's 14 multilayer maps, Chasms, which can be played against AI in Skirmish mode. In skirmish mode, players can play as either the human UNSC or alien Covenant. Don't worry about wrapping your head around the control scheme, as the demo will contain both a basic and advanced tutorial. Curiously, the press release does not mention if the demo will feature any kind of local or Xbox Live multiplayer, which is a disappointment.
Finally, Microsoft has released the first in a series of Halo Wars video documentaries. You can check out the video after the break, and don't forget to take a gander at some new screens in the gallery below.

Skate 2 DLC unlocks everything for the lazy gamer

There's a new Skate 2 DLC unlock code available for purchase off the Xbox Live Marketplace which - in somewhat of EA tradition - is more about unlocking content then giving gamers new content. The Time is Money Pack costs a hefty 400 Microsoft points and will "unlock all locations, skaters and gear that can be earned by playing through Skate 2's career and online modes." Lazy gamers love paying for their unlock codes, amiright?

Australian rock has just made its way to Guitar Hero World Tour thanks to today's released Aussie Track Pack downloadable content. Tomb Raider: Underworld DLC set for Feb. 10, March 10

The second batch of DLC, "Lara's Shadow," will be available March 10. No details were released regarding the second pack, but it's probably safe to assume it will also contain a new level, costumes, and achievements. No prices were announced, though GameStop lists both packs combined for $20, leading us to believe they will be individually priced at 800 points.
It's worth noting that former creative director for Crystal Dynamics, Eric Lindstrom, has stated that the DLC levels were originally intended to be included in the retail game, but were cut as the result of "a production issue" that would have caused the game to miss its ship date.

Expand your 5th grade knowledge with Are You Smarter DLC

To continue gamers' quest to prove that they're in fact smarter than 5th graders, a new Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? expansion pack has released to the Xbox Live Marketplace. The new Brainiac Pack DLC costs 150 Microsoft points, 2MBs of hard drive space and gives you some undefined number of additional question content. Hopefully the DLC also takes "the creepy" out of Jeff Foxworthy's digital (and human) likeness.
