Itagaki on Tekken:
"I no longer can figure out what the hell they're trying to do with the numbering, and I don't know which one is which. Itagaki on Devil May Cry 4:
"I think Kayima-san makes good games. However, I think they, the systems, gameplay elements in his game tend to be rather shallow and he makes up with that through stylish presentation. I think if you were to compare them directly, the combat and other gameplay elements in NGII are much deeper than projects that he works on." [Kombo]

Itagaki on Heavnly Sword:

Itagaki gets sued:
In November 2006, a female coworker accused Itagaki of sexual harassment. While Itagaki claimed the pair had kissed it was on a single occasion and was consensual. Tecmo launched a month long investigation and demoted both parties within the company before the courts found the claim to be false and dropped the charges against the famed designer.
