Best New Original IP - Dead Space

From my first hands-on session during E3, I knew EA Redwood Shores had created something unique with Dead Space. Thankfully, come launch, they delivered as promised.

From the over the top gore, gorgeous visuals, interesting plot, fleshed out universe and the unique dismemberment game mechanic, Dead Space has proven to be a classic gaming gem. Even if sales weren't stellar, we have a hunch EA will be backing the franchise and delivering a sequel in the near future. A sequel that will improve upon the first and will give gamers a truly horrific sci-fi experience. We can't wait.
