Most Anticipated Game of 2009 - Halo Wars

When Ensemble Studios first announced Halo Wars and its intention to finally bring precision controls to a console real time strategy game, I had the same thought that many others did: I've heard that one before. And then the previews started rolling out and it sounded like the game had promise. And then I played the game at E3 2008. Consider me a convert. The controls were simple and -- believe it or not -- intuitive. I was actually figuring out advanced commands before the Microsoft rep could explain them to me, and having a blast doing it.

Granted, the game still needs a solid campaign and the multiplayer needs to work, but the framework is there. Definitely keep your eyes on Halo Wars in 2009. You can bet I will.
