Fancast Moment of the Year / Best Surprise of the Year - Civilization Revolution

It was episode 75 (or at least around that episode) where Alexander was discussing his latest obsession, Civilization Revolution. When the conversation faded toward online habits of Xbox Live "jagoffs," Richard busted out his impression of a jerk CivRev player. "I just out researched you, bitch!" Richard yelled.

We all lost it. It was probably the funniest thing I have ever heard and it stands out as my favorite moment of the Fancast.

Speaking of Civilization Revolution. Wow. That game is 12 kinds of awesome, isn't it? When it was announced I, like many others, shrugged it off as a waste of every one's time and money but after getting hands on the game it became pretty clear what Firaxis had done. Instead of shoehorning expected gameplay from its famed series as recent RTS titles are doing, the developer created a unique turn-based experience that was meant for the console controller.

It works. It's great. It is the Best Surprise of 2008.
