Expand your 5th grade knowledge with Are You Smarter DLC

To continue gamers' quest to prove that they're in fact smarter than 5th graders, a new Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? expansion pack has released to the Xbox Live Marketplace. The new Brainiac Pack DLC costs 150 Microsoft points, 2MBs of hard drive space and gives you some undefined number of additional question content. Hopefully the DLC also takes "the creepy" out of Jeff Foxworthy's digital (and human) likeness.
Bury the Shovelware: Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?
After a controversial piece last week, followed by a stressful and virus-contracting holiday weekend, I decided to take things easy this week and go for an easy target. As you can assume, my expectations for this title aren't that high. In fact, I've really only one question: is this game worse than Deal or No Deal.
As I popped the game into my DS, I notice something interesting. I asked for "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader," but it looks like they sent me "Are You Smarter than a 10 Year Old," which is the British version of the American game show. I guess whoever was responsible for this is not smarter than a 5th grader ... (punches self). At least I won't have to deal with sub-par humor.

Penny Arcade Adventures Episode 2, virtual Jeff Foxworthy hit XBLA

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is based off the popular game show that quizzes contestants on 21 different subjects used in the current curriculum in the 1st to 5th grade range. Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode 2 continues the story of web comic icons Gabe and Tycho and the user's created character, searching for answers and revenge in a steam-punk inspired universe. Picking them up or not? Tell us why in the comments.
This Wednesday: Prove you're smarter than a 5th grader on XBLA
Given the volume of f-bombs and uninformed hate speech overheard during, oh, every game played over Xbox Live ever, we have to question if some of the service's subscribers aren't actually 5th graders. Anyway.
You can prove yourself better – and smarter – than them on Wednesday, when THQ and Blitz Arcade launch Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader: Make the Grade on XBLA. The quiz game will be priced at 1200
($15). Failing to prove you're smarter than a 5th grader will cost you your pride.
This week's Arcade update also includes a new multiplayer map for Marble Blast Ultra (including its own Achievement) for the low, low price of nothing. (It's free!)

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? releases to the XBLA this week

Jeff Foxworthy's television game show "hit" will be releasing to the Xbox Live Arcade this week in the form of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?: Make The Grade.
For 1200 Microsoft points (OUCH!), Are You Smarter will test your 5th grader intelligence using 6,000 school-aged questions spread across 21 various school subjects and plenty of Foxworthy humor (for good or bad). Are You Smarter also sports online and local multiplayer for up to four players.
Yes, it's expensive and it's extremely niche, but we're sure it'll satisfy someone in the XBLA market. Let's just hope the game is redneck joke free.
GameTap Thursday: Grimm's Godfather Death, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?
American McGee's Grimm introduces the title character to Godfather Death this week. GameTap continues to offer each new Grimm episode free to non-subscribers for the first 24 hours after release. There are a couple other new games this week, with one taking us 20,000 leagues under the sea, and the other us remember: We may not be smarter than a 5th grader, but we sure as heck are bigger and stronger!
- Grimm: Godfather Death (Windows) - *Grandpa Simpson voice* Death! Deaaaaaaaaaaath!
- Sub Command (Windows) - Another submarine simulation.
- Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? (Windows) - Fine FOX programming, now on your computer screen.
