Now that The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai is out on Xbox Live Arcade, you can finally unlock the Joystiq-inspired 'Peter Moore Achievement.' Grabbing the achievement is pretty simple. All you have to do is hit the Guide button during one of the game's guitar sections. In this episode of X3F TV, we show you the easiest way to do that. Just follow the video's instructions for a quick (and awesome) 8 Gamerpoints.

To all the developers out there: Feel free to ask us to come up with your achievements. We're really good at it.

Meteos Wars 'Galaxy Pack' DLC falls from the sky

Q Entertainment sends word that fresh Meteos Wars DLC is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace. Entitled the Galaxy Pack, the new DLC contains nine new planets for the game, including two planets that are entirely new to the Meteos series. Should you deem such content worthy, it will run you 350.

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: UNO RUSH

This week on XBLA in Brief, we look at UNO RUSH, a speedy new take on the classic card game. Players have to adjust their hands quickly and play as many cards as possible on every turn. It sounds easy, but each turn is only a few seconds long, meaning you have to plan ahead. Check out the video above and see if UNO RUSH will be pulling 800 from your account.

Age of Booty gets Avatar support March 25 ... maybe

A recent forum post by Capcom senior producer Daryl Allison hints that something to do with Avatars and Age of Booty will be revealed next Wednesday, March 25. The title of the post simply reads "Age of Booty - Xbox Avatars Set Sail." We're guessing this means that Capcom will be adding Avatar support to Age of Booty. Another possibility is that Avatars will receive some Age of Booty themed clothing. We're kind of hoping for the second possibility, because our Avatar is just dying for a peg leg.

We've contacted the folks at Capcom in hopes that they might clear up this confusion. We'll update this post when we receive new information.

[Update: As reader Johnathan points out, the Capcom post more than likely refers to the Avatar support that was announced in January. Originally slated for a February release, it has yet to see the light of day. Bet your booties (get it?) that Avatar support will arrive next week.]

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: Hasbro Family Game Night

The shortest, easiest way to say it: Hasbro Family Game Night lets you play Hasbro board games on your TV. There's not much more to say, really. Oh, each game will cost you 800. Before the anger starts flowing, you should know that most of these games cost more in the real world. Check out the latest XBLA in Brief and decide if Hasbro Family Game Night deserves a shelf in your digital game closet.

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: Crystal Defenders, Peggle

This week, 360 fans get both Crystal Defenders and Peggle. As luck would have it, both games are actually pretty good. Two good games in one week? What have we done to deserve this? Of course, they aren't free -- they're 800 each. Still, they're both worth at least trying. Check out the latest episode of XBLA in Brief and see if either one is for you.

Microsoft 'wrestled' with Watchmen XBLA size exception

Following the debut of Watchmen: The End is Nigh on Xbox Live Arcade, Ars Technica spoke to Microsoft regarding the game's size. The title clocks in at over 1.2 gigabytes, making it the largest Xbox Live Arcade title to date. Honestly, the size restriction on XBLA -- originally 50MB -- seems to change so much that we're beginning to lose track. Still, even with games regularly hitting the service at over 300MB, 1.2 gigs is pushing it.

So, what pushed Watchmen over the edge? We imagine being tied into the release of the film had something to do with it, not to mention that a refusal by Microsoft would have made the game exclusive to the Playstation 3. Ars Technica reports that Microsoft "wrestled" with the decision to make an exception, but eventually allowed it in order to "ensure the best customer experience and optimize overall gameplay."

If 1.2 gigs is indicative of the overall quality of Watchmen, the next game had better be twice as big.

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: Watchmen: The End is Nigh

If you haven't already read Joystiq's review of Watchmen: The End is Nigh, you really should. If you have read it and you still have the masochistic desire to learn more, allow us to direct you to the latest installment of XBLA in Brief. Unfortunately, the game just isn't all that great. Of course, we expect that from licensed games, and we might even be willing to forgive it, but the $20 price tag makes The End is Nigh difficult to recommend. Don't take our word for it, though. Give the video a watch and see what you think.

Space Invaders Extreme and Yosumin Live! XBLA videos leaked

Gamerbytes reports that someone with access to Microsoft's Partnernet (essentially Xbox Live for game developers and journalists) has captured video of Space Invaders Extreme and Yosumin Live!. Space Invaders Extreme, which was revealed for XBLA at last year's TGS, is a revamped version of the original classic. Yosumin Live! is a Square Enix puzzle game that was confirmed for XBLA earlier this year.

Neither game is terribly exciting to watch, but something about the illicit nature of the videos makes it hard to look away. Find them both after the break.

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: Exit 2

This week, XBLA in Brief takes a look at Exit 2. In short, it's a lot like the original Exit. In short, Exit 2 isn't especially EXciting, if you get our drift. It's not bad, per se. In fact, some people will probably love it, but we imagine a lot of gamers will be put off by its slow pacing. Check out our thoughts on the trial version in the video above.

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: Death Tank

Apart from the fact that it's missing the original theme song -- which was the best ever, FYI -- the XBLA version of Death Tank is the same Death Tank we know and love. Of course, not everyone is familiar with the original Saturn game (which could only be unlocked as a mini-game in Powerslave or Duke Nukem 3D). For fans and newcomers alike, we present the latest XBLA in Brief.

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: NHL Arcade, Minesweeper Flags

This week, XBLA in Brief takes a look at 3 on 3 NHL Arcade and the (sort of) surprise release, Minesweeper Flags. Let's put it this way, one of them is a decent game and the other is a retread of a freeware PC game that you probably already have on your computer right now. Watch and enjoy.

X3F TV -- XBLA in Brief: R-Type Dimensions

This week on XBLA in Brief, we take a look at R-Type Dimensions, a new compilation of R-Type and R-Type 2 in one fancy Arcade package. You want 2D graphics? You got 'em. Remixed 3D graphics? Those are in there too. Crazy 2D and 3D camera options? Oh yeah. About the only thing it doesn't have is an attractive price: It's 1200 points. Still, hardcore shooter fans should take notice.

XBLA in Brief: FunTown Mahjong

It's not often that we get to take a trip to FunTown, so we were thrilled at the prospect when FunTown Mahjong released on Xbox Live Arcade this week. To put it bluntly, our excitement was not warranted. Dull presentation and hilariously bad translation make this game entertaining enough, but for all the wrong reasons. Watch the latest episode of XBLA in Brief for our impressions of the trial version.
