Honda sponsors launch of Xbox Live Primetime

Honda is hoping that the chance to win a Honda Insight will be motivation enough to get some folks into Microsoft's Xbox Live Primetime channel, set to launch on May 15. The Japanese giant will be sponsoring the release of the Xbox 360's new online space through a "Play & Win" campaign, forcing participants stuck in queue in the waiting room to watch ads for the car before being thrust into an open game. In the end, the overall winner of "Play & Win" will be gifted a 2010 Honda Insight, allowing them to drive around and quietly judge everyone else that isn't a hybrid owner.

Play Halo Wars online and (possibly) win prizes

Microsoft is hosting another Play & Win giveaway. This time, Halo Wars is required to participate in the "odds are slim that anyone reading this is actually going to win anything" prize-winning fun.

To enter, download this gamer picture, play Halo Wars multiplayer between March 6-8, then patiently wait for the winners to be announced. Microsoft is giving away an assortment of prizes, including a 52" television, a Halo Wars themed Xbox 360 (nice!), an assortment of MS points and even an overpriced Ultra Series 1000 Monster Cable.

Activate Netflix. Win prizes. Be happy.

There's no better time than now to give Netflix a test drive, because Microsoft and the famous red movie dealer have partnered for an Activate and Win promotion where all new (and even current) Netflix subscribers have a chance to win fabulous prizes. We're sure the promotion has something to do with the fact that the NXE-enabled Netflix streaming feature is available on the 360. We're almost positive.

To enter the giveaway, simply sign up for Netflix and download the registration gamer picture off the Marketplace. Only one winner will be selected to take home the home theater prize, but even "losers" will have something to smile about: They will be subscribers to a great content streaming service. Feel those warm fuzzies?

Underworld movie sponsors Fable 2 Play & Win

160,000 Microsoft points are up for grabs during this weekend's Underworld: Rise of the Lycans Sweepstakes and all you need to do to attempt to win your share of the MS point pot is to play Fable 2. Registration into the sweeps can be done online or via the XBLM and, once completed, you're required to play a Fable 2 co-op game. First prize is 80,000 MS points (enough to buy even the most expensive XBLM content) and the giveaway fun ends Monday, January 19th.

Xbox.com: Horde for the Holidays, a Gears 2 contest so big it ends a year!

If you're anything like us you've already ninjaed (it's a verb) to your holiday gift pile and tried to find out what Saint Nick brought you. If you didn't spot an Xbox 360 console-sized present in that stack and are looking for a new console to call home, Epic and Microsoft are giving away an amazing comic book themed Xbox 360 to one lucky gamer ... but that isn't all.

Xbox.com's Horde for the Holidays contest is also giving away thousands of Xbox Live Marketplace points, one Gears of War 2-themed Zune, Limited Edition red Xbox 360 controller and charge kit and more. All of these prizes, in three huge prize packs. Now that is a holiday giveaway, kids.

Looking for a good change of pace to your regular Xbox Live schedule this weekend? Remember Rockstar is hosting a Grand Theft Auto IV weekend which began Friday, September 26 at 12:01AM EST and runs through to Sunday, September 28 at 11:59PM EST.

The weekend affords gamers the opportunity to school or be schooled by a Rockstar employee in some GTA IV multiplayer madness as well as win a truck-load of prizes just for playing the game. It's play and win in GTA IV this weekend and Rockstar has a ton of treats to go around. A full listing of Rockstar employee gamertags are available after the jump.

Holy red Gears of War 2 Xbox 360 Marcus Fenix! It's red! It's Gears-inspired! And it can be all yours if you're willing to play Gears of War online and have luck on your side.

Strogg unite! Quake Wars Live Weekend

To celebrate the release of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars to the Xbox 360, the Xbox Live gods are sponsoring a Quake Wars Live Weekend where prizes can be won, developers can be fragged and competition will be encouraged.

As part of the Live Weekend fun that starts next Friday, June 6th, there will be a special Quake Wars Play & Win where hourly prizes will be awarded and Xbox 360 Elites will be given away. Also, a few of the id developers will be online Friday evening to participate in a Game with Developers event and show Quake Wars fans how to really play the game. Finally, there will be a weekend long Leaderboard Tournament where even more prizes will be awarded including an all expense paid trip to QUAKECON this July. This new Achieve & Win take on Play & Win requires you to unlock one achievement, any achievement, in Devil May Cry 4 between April 11th and the 13th. Of course, you'll have to register your gamertag first. Then, thousand of Microsoft points will be awarded to the a few randomly selected individuals who complete their achievement task. Achieve & Win sounds like good times and we hope to see more achievement specific tasks in the future.

But you'll have to get your DLC download on. To enter this Play & Win, you'll have to register here or download the Best RPGs gamer picture off of the XBLM. Then, once registered, you'll get one entry for every piece of DLC you download for either Mass Effect, Blue Dragon or Oblivion. And yes, you will earn an entry for downloading horse armor. This RPG themed Play & Win kicks off tomorrow March 7th and runs through March 11th, so be prepared to download and be prepared to select your favorite blogger when you win the grand prize trip to Comic-con and have to choose someone to bring with.
