'Scene It? Twilight' dazzles Wii this autumn, DS in 2010
Oh my gawd, oh my gawd, the twinkly blood-suckers of Twilight are coming to Wii in a Scene It? game this fall! Yes, the vampire franchise -- with only one released movie under its coffin -- will be the subject of an entire multimedia-based trivia game for Wii, featuring some 500 multiple-choice questions based on clips, music and audio from the film.
There are no details about the DS version of the game, which will release sometime next year. (There's also no mention of an Xbox 360 or PS3 version.) We'd call this the "shovelware cash-in of trivia games," but we'd be afraid that in doing so, pale, starving actors covered in glitter would come and suck our blood -- accompanied by throngs of enraged tweens and housewives that would rip our lifeless bodies to shreds. So ... we'll just call it not the game for us.

Scene It? *will* use BUZZ! controllers (on PS3™)

But what if you want to use a wacky peripheral? Don't fret, as you'll be able to use your BUZZ! controllers with Scene It?. Considering many of the modes of Scene It? require buzzing in, the translation is incredibly faithful.
Scene It? comes to Wii, PS3 this holiday

As an added bonus, the release makes no mention of special controllers for the Wii or PS3 version of the game, so hopefully Uncle Ernie won't be able to guess the gift from the size of the package.
Scene It? BOS to test your Award Winners knowledge with new DLC

Award Winners pack, as it's called, will be available Friday, February 13th and come packed with over 300 questions that are targeted towards over two dozen award winning films. But that isn't all, the Award Winners DLC will also add a new bonus-round game called "Pop Quiz" that's said to feature around 600 true or false questions. That's some box office smashing news, no?Avatars now available in Scene It? Box Office Smash
With all of the NXE excitement going around, it might have been easy to forget that Avatar support is now available for Scene It? Box Office Smash. It might have been easy to forget, except that we're totally reminding you about it right now. All you have to do is pop the game in and download the title update. Voila, instant Avatar support. And now, if you'll excuse us, we'll just go back to waiting for Avatar support in Left 4 Dead*. The freaky machinima possibilities alone will be worth the wait.
*Avatar support for Left 4 Dead is not in the works and is something we made up (unfortunately).

Shipping this week: Get underground edition

It's funny. The reaction to both a nuclear disaster and the release of a long-awaited sequel is essentially the same. You want to stock up on food and supplies, get indoors, seal the exits, and come to terms with the fact that you may never see your family again. Yes, Fallout 3 comes out this week. There are other games coming out this week too. You can read about those below. You know, if you want.

Dem-o-rama: Scene It? Box Office Smash! and World of Goo
We're actually leading with an apology this time on Dem-o-rama. We're sorry about the inclusion of Scene It? Box Office Smash! (now available in demo form on Xbox Live). We know that you probably couldn't care less, and even if you could, we imagine that you could wrap your mind around what the experience will be like without the aid of a demo.
But we have a good excuse! We needed something to pair with the utterly charming World of Goo, which now has a downloadable demo (via BigDownload) that constitutes about one-fifth of the actual game. You should really be playing that now, instead of reading this. Go ahead, we don't mind.

Scene It? Box Office Smash lands in retail Oct. 28
Microsoft has announced that Scene It! Box Office Smash will be hitting retail on October 28, which will likely serve as a saving grace for the Joystiq staffers who had no idea what else to do for Halloween. The game will cost $40 by itself or $60 in a bundle with four Big Button pad controllers. Truth be told, we had a lot of fun with the first game, Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action! And any game that draws sketches of construction workers playing with dolls meets our approval.
Also of note, Box Office Smash! is being touted as "the first game to debut with the New Xbox Experience's player Avatars," which can be used as your in-game character. We don't think this is an indication that the New Xbox Experience is coming out this month, as there are likely placeholders available, but it certainly raises an eyeybrow.

Scene It? sequel smashes into retailers Oct. 28th

Today, Microsoft announced that the sequel to Lights, Camera, Action, Scene It? Box Office Smash will be releasing to North American stores on Tuesday, October 28th.
Box Office Smash and its trivia based on 250+ movies will be available in two flavors, bundled with the four big button controllers for $59 or without the controllers for just $39. Microsoft also announced that Box Office Smash will be the first retail game to support Avatars in-game, but will only be available once the New Xbox Experience rolls out later this year.
E308: Scene It 2, You're in the Movies coming soon

Utilizing the Xbox Live Vision camera, players can create short 'B' movies with their families by participating in mini-games that are later combined into a short movie trailer. While it might sound strange, Xbox executives demoed the game live during the conference and it was quite entertaining (as seen above). Both are expected to ship this holiday. As an added bonus, You're In The Movies also includes the required Xbox Live Vision camera when it ships.

Viva Piata and Scene It? sequels are real!

Mention of both sequels was discovered on one of Microsoft's press sites, where someone accidently uploaded all of the categories for this week's MGD08 announcements including categories for Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise and Scene It? 2. And being the good reporters that we are, we went out and confirmed that both of these two unannounced titles are in fact listed on Microsoft's press site, though all game media has since been pulled. But not before the crew over at NeoGAF grabbed screenshot love from the Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise folder. So, not only do we get leaked word that Viva Piñata and Scene It? sequels are headed our way, but we also get a first look at Trouble in Paradise! Enjoy the screens!

Shipping this week: war is hell edition
And so it begins, a November to end all Novembers. Within the next month, we will be positively assaulted with new and wonderful Xbox 360 games. The summer wasn't exactly thin, especially as summers tend to go for video games, but the sheer amount of games dropping this month alone -- good games, mind you -- is ridiculous. But let's not get ahead of ourselves thinking about the impending arrival of Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Kane & Lynch, and Rock Band (to name a few). No, let's concentrate on this week's titles. One thing at a time, as it were. So, this week we have:- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- F.E.A.R. Files
- Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War
- Scene-It
- LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
- Cabela's Big Game Hunter
Don't get too excited though. We've got three more weeks of high caliber releases to come. You might want to start your financial planning now.
We've seen the Scene It? demo on the XBLM
